It is a decent machine for the money. I was surprised that the only audio jack is in the front but other than that, it’s cool. Once the cost of RAM comes back down, I will upgrade it to atleast 16GBs of RAM.

I just reboxed for a return.Dell has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. They had absolutely NO instructions in the box.. I call customer service. No one knew anything. They couldn't answer any questions. They kept putting me on hold. This was after going through about 10 robot chat boxes. Bought this to turn it into a high power router for pfsense capable of routing 3gb PPPOE internet at full line speed with wireguard. It did not disappoint (providing you have the network infrastructure and tune all your settings). It is arguably the best computer on the market for this specialized purpose with 3 expansion slots and tiny footprint. The design internally for the 8x slot is terrible and doesn't give you much room at all to cool high temp SFP cards as it is pushing right up against the power supply. Not sure what kind of video card could fit here if that's what you wanted to add. There are no extra wires to power fans and you will have to invest in the special Dell SATA header cable and then from SATA to 3pin cable to run fans. Messy but it works. 80mm fan fits in front to draw air in which is necessary otherwise there is ZERO airflow inside the case. The CPU has a hood that channels intake from the outside. For me, I'll never buy another firewall product again and with internet getting faster all the time, those little appliances will never be able to touch the performance of a PC when it comes to routing it. ... show more
