  • Value, quality and ease of use
I am new to HVLP spray guns and have an electric one as well as this one. I have also have a High Pressure Spray gut that I never was impressed with as it wasted a lot of paint and was more for painting large surfaces. Haven't used it for years and never got good with it. When I bought this one I was concerned that my 6 gal Nail Gun compressor wouldn't have the power to work properly. I never ran out of air but then I also was slow in accessing the many different sections of this skeleton frame. My project was to spray primer and then paint onto a 1 1/4 metal skeleton frame for a piece of office furniture. The small size and small tip allowed me to have a small spray pattern and to get in close without having any runs or sags. The gun comes with a .8 mm spray head and reports there are options for a .5 and 1.0 mm head. In all I took about 6 oz of primer for the first coat /second coats total and about 4 oz of paint to get the job done. I needed this small gun so I would not have to deal with a overly large spray pattern. After some videos, some trials and errors I figured it out and obtained a very nice job painting this project. And then there was the cleanup of the rust inhibitor primer (oil based). The Paasche Instructions sheet explained the process very well and I it tool less than 15 minutes and the the water base Alkyd Urethane paint was even easier. Very pleased with the results , the clean up and controllability of this gun. This gun isClearly labeled as a Passche product, in a Paasche box, has Paasche instructions and has a nice finish throughout. I consider this an excellent gun of high quality very controllable. ... show more

  • I'm thinking this is a knock off or 3rd party, works alright anyways.
I'm wondering if Paasche went downhill or these are knock off? 1. You need to remove any of their blue paint from inside the fluid channels first thing if you spray solvent based paint. I def started laying down "paasche blue metal flake' on my GM white half way through smh. 2. The needle, tip, cap, cup and ports are all pretty rough finish for a mini gun, fluid doesnt flow that well and builds up way to quick. Now I'll be spending a few hours polishing the parts to get it spraying as it should. On the bright side, it's a tough little gun, handled small flake and pearl ok, the design is also pretty decent and it's not half bad for wide spray pattern adj and trigger feel so theres that to build on. ... show more

  • Great for Cerakote newcomers!
I bought this touch-up spray gun when I decided to try my hand at applying Cerakote to my firearms. While Cerakote sells 2 recommended guns, both are pretty pricey for purchase by a newcomer. This Pasche spray gun meets all specific requirements laid out by Cerakote, at a more reasonable price. Pasche has a great reputation for making quality airbrushes and guns for roughly 100 years, and this is a solid choice for a starter gun. If you're a trained, experienced Cerakote applier with artistic skills, buy the top of the line Iwata sold by Cerakote. It will give you a superior, very fine finish. But if you're just a DIY kind of guy who wants to restore an expensive pistol's finish and wants the pride of doing it himself, you can't do better for the money than this Pasche! I, for one, don't want or need my favorite pistol to look like it was finished by fairies or something. ... show more

  • Works like a pro
I use this mostly as a touchup spraygun but also for those small projects where I want minimal cleanup afterwards. I was amazed at how well this little gun works and the price is very good. I hope tariffs don't ruin that part. I'm very happy with it. Buy it.

  • Easy to clean , good spray width control , will handle thicker paints at 20-25ps
Easy tear down for cleaning , 5/16 wrench or socket will remove the needle seat and the rest of the gun requires no tools for normal cleaning. I was surprised at the thickness of paint this gun will handle with the .8mm nozzle at 25psi at the gun. Very nice little touch up gun , great for laying down a background or for easily painting something the size of a motorcycle gas tank. ... show more

  • Great air brush!
I have used this gun to paint various rims over the years and it has held up nicely. You are really able to fine tune it and spray thin and wide patterns as needed! The settings are easy to ajust and prefect for small repairs and even some bigger jobs.

  • It leaks out of the base of the cup!
This Paasche airbrush looked great out of the box. Set up was a snap. Only problem I can tell is a significant leak of fluid through the threading of the detachable cup that is seated properly and snug. Waiting on word from Paasche for a fix
