I’m a tech nerd, needed a “burner” laptop for projects and experiments I’d rather not do on my real laptop. This one was a good price, I got “refurbished: good” condition. Obviously it has some minor hardware issues, like a loose key and some scratches, but overall, usable and reliable for what I need. This used laptop greatly exceeded my expectations. It looks and works almost exactly as a new one. The battery life is excellent and the included programs work properly. The only thing I changed was the boot sequence because it was set to boot from a network connection instead of from the on-board operating system. The original setup was not a problem because when no network was detected, it quickly then switched to the on-board operating system boot, but I prefer this boot sequence. It's also not difficult to change the boot sequence and instructions can easily be found online if desired. I loaded my Microsoft Office 2003 (which I prefer over the newer (crappier) versions and other programs without any difficulty. I am very pleased with this laptop and saved hundreds of dollars over purchasing a new laptop that I likely not like because I do not like the newer Microsoft programs and how they essentially take over the setup and operability of the computer and programs. ... show more

When I set it up for the first time it had a broken spot on the screen that is white and also has orange lines but thats only in one spot the rest is fine the preformance is good and so is the keyboard.
