Shipment of the components came in two separate boxes. Assembly is relatively straightforward and can be completed in a few hours - bed assembly was straightforward while the shelves take longer but overall not complicated. Once fully assembled the design looks great too. Having said that, some areas of improvement to point out: 1. The labeling of the parts are wrong in several cases, for the shelves. Involving the horizontal panels that have 3 identical pieces but have different slots for screws depending on their exact location in thr shelves. 2. Some of the finishing needs improvement. The paint job is not complete for some of the pieces although not at visible areas once assembled 3. Structurally the joint between the 2 sections of the L shaped shelves can be further improved. The bed took about 5 hours to put together, after organizing/separating all the pieces. If you have Allen key drill bits, that might save some time. We opted not to instill the drawers due to lack of space in the room, but it allows for extra storage under the bed. We opted for the 6” mattress as recommended, but an 8” would have been fine- it would have come up to the shelves around the bed, rather than just under the shelving.     • Missing parts & pieces fabricated incorrectly

Two of the boards/pieces were fabricated incorrectly so that they don’t properly fit where the instructions are illustrating that they should. Screw holes to secure a portion of the shelving are in the total wrong piece. It took me building and rebuilding this portion three times to figure this out. The bag of #10 screws to secure the backing to the shelves is TOTALLY MISSING. Not even in the hardware collection. So frustrating. Quality control on the final product is horrible. ... show more

Good value relative to the money paid. If you want very high quality then you should be going to a furniture store, not Amazon, and pay accordingly. Instructions are quite adequate if you can follow directions. Although I had to squint a lot, even while wearing my reading glasses. I had no issues with the instructions. We have installed the bed and book case and the final result was visually so unappealing. Regardless of noticeable time spent on installation due to number of connectors and bolts (168 bolts & screws), exposed connectors , gaps between panels and low paint quality resulted in its poor appearance which was different from the pictures. ... show more

A handyman just put this bed together for my daughter’s new room and it looks good! I’m including a pic here to show (1) the size of one drawer (in the stock photos, it’s hard to tell if there is one long drawer or two shorter ones) and (2) that a twin mattress can fit underneath for storage if you choose to use the space for that instead of the rolling drawers. This bed took a lot to put together, pieces weren't labeled accurately which made for some confusion as instructions are just a picture book. Once assembled bed is nice, not amazing just nice. The biggest complaint I have is the product is incorrectly pre fab and when you connect the two bookcases in the corner they do not connect flush with one another leaving a space and has me questioning the structural safety for someone younger. ... show more

My 17 year old daughter loves her new bed. We got it all put together, took a long time to put together only to find the charging station doesn’t work. Contacted the seller, they were able to give me a partial refund or send a new charge port when back in stock.
