I live in a 650 square foot, 1 bedder apt and this thing could not keep up with the humidity. I'm in MN and we just had a brief heatwave. This works fine in a bathroom or bedroom with the door closed but it barely made a dent in my overall apartment. My air conditioner lowers the humidity levels faster than this. Pro. It looks nice. Set up is easy. It's quiet. Con's. The control buttons are way too loud and there is no way to adjust the volume. The pretty multicolor led is pretty but why is it even needed? There is no way to adjust the fan speed or the humidity level. If I want my levels at 40 I should be able to set it to 40 but you can't. Works ok but not for larger spaces. You need a big floor model for that. No way would this work in a basement. Recommended for your bathroom or a small bedroom. ... show more

We use this dehumidifier, and it does a great job of removing a lot of moisture from the air - I have to empty the container at least once a week (which is a good thing, in my opinion, because it shows how much moisture it removes)! It's compact and effortless to move between rooms. I greatly appreciate the quiet operation especially if operating in bedrooms and in my living room. Other key features that I like include its detachable water tank (85 oz capacity) but with an option to attach a hose for continuous drainage, and additional functionalities like colored LED lights, a timer, and the auto-shut off feature to enhance safety and convenience. First, the humidity levels are inaccurate. Our humidity was around 65%, this unit showed 50%. After running all day and night it pulled out about a quarter a cup of water. I brought in a unit from the basement and that was a full bucket in less than a half day.
