It has truly achieved maintenance-free operation. Place it in the corner of the basement. The floor will always remain dry. Not very powerful and is doing a very poor job of removing humidity in my 2000 square-foot home. Even in conditions that aren't very demanding, it struggles to even keep the humidity within 10% of its target setting. The humidistat is also inaccurate by 5%. So far, my experience is much more positive with GE and Frigidaire humidifiers. This one works pretty well for a month, but has been declining ever since and now it's almost not worth turning it on. It takes all week to fill it water tank with the moisture removed from the air. A good unit should fill the reservoir within one or two days. I regret buying this one. I hope the company will make it right somehow.

Honestly, I’m super impressed with this dehumidifier. Within a day or two, the air was noticeably fresher and more comfortable. I also love how it’s powerful yet surprisingly quiet. It doesn’t get annoying running in the background. I also appreciate the drain hose feature. It’s so hassle-free with no emptying. The smart humidity control is also so easy to use.
