Today is the first time I used this electrical shovel after the purchase. The snow coverage was about 1" thick and it was somehow dry. I used the electrical shovel to clean the driveway. Overall, the experience with the product can be said to be "satisfactory" . However, since I am a DIY guy and is very technical, I would provide some more concise review to this product, hoping that it would benefit other people. First, this product should not be considered to be ones that have wheels and have more powerful electrical or gas-powered engines. In my view, as verified by my experience, this product can be described as "a snow shovel with an electrical motor to throw the snow away". If you were to use a hand-push conventional snow shovel, you would first push the shovel to be under the snow cover, then lift the shovel with the full snow on the shovel, then throw the entire snow on the shovel to somewhere using the force from you back and your upper body or arms. To use this product, you still need to push the product under the snow cover using its shovel part. However, the electrical motor will throw the snow way without your exerting the force from your back and upper body. With not-to-thick snow coverage, all I needed to do was to push the shovel part of the product under the snow layer, and then this product throwed the snow way because the electrical motor did the work, which saved me a lot of effort without using my back and upper body to do the work. Pushing the shovel part of the product under the snow layer was a much easier job than throwing the snow way using my whole body's force. So, in this regard, this product is a wonderful snow removal machine with its design intent as I described. With its light weight and small footprint for easy storage, this product is worth considering to have if its intended-usage is understood by the users. For those who have similar consideration as I have, purchasing this product is a good choice.

DEGGE Cordless Snow Shovel

So far 5 Star. I also have a 30 year plus old Toro electric snow blower. I wanted something to replace the shovel for a few inches of snow. I used the DEGGE to shovel my sidewalk, driver pad, and the front of my garage. Took less than 30 minutes, only used 1 bar of the battery, which has 4 bars, so it only used 25% of the fully charged battery. Love that 2 batteries came with it. Light weight, did the job I wanted. Easy to put together, less than 5 minutes. Light weight for us old folks. I store it in my basement, only 7 lbs, so light weight. So far, so good, nothing to complain about. Looks to be durable, if you take care of it should last several years. It's exactly what I was looking for, the price is just right. Seems to be great for a few inches of snow!!! I did buy a warranty, I always do that on items I use frequently, never know??

Handle broke, worked good with new handle I bought

The handle broke on the first use, making the whole item useless. Trying to contact the seller to get a replacement handle has been time consuming. Waiting to see if they email me back. I will update if I get the issue resolved. UPDATE: the company answered my email and will send a replacement part but it won’t be here for a couple of weeks at best . I decided to buy a $10 handle on Amazon and with the new handle I can place it much higher up in the shovel. It worked amazing. Way better than the original handle because this one I can be place higher up on the shovel. I am 5’10” and the original handle is too low, It hurts my back! I was able to try it for the first time tonight and it exceeded my expectations It really throws the snow quite far and can handle at least 3-4 inches of snow maybe more. I bought it for my patio and walkway, so I’m not doing my entire driveway (it is huge and would take all day) but I feel it worked well for these smaller jobs.

I could not get it to throw snow

Item doesn’t really work very well. I bought it put it together. Everything seemed to work just fine. But there was no snow. Finally we had a snowstorm that dropped about 3 1/2 inches of snow. So I thought I had an opportunity to give it a shot. See how it works. The first thing I noticed was that all they did was just push the snow out of the way. Nothing got caught in the chute to get blown away. I tried various different angles. The angle at which the bottom scrapes against the sidewalk as flat as possible did allow some capturing of snow but still just push the snow around and the drag was so strong that it was difficult to push. I finally gave up and grabbed a standard snow shovel which quickly got my snow out of the way. I bought this because I have a bad back and thought this would be great for light snowstorms. I re-watched the video and saw the unit scooping up and shooting away a very efficient amount of snow. But my experience was nothing like that and it seemed to me that the unit I saw in the video doing it was actually a larger unit than the one I bought so I returned it

Worked great until it melted!

I am super disappointed in this electric shovel. I purchased it for my husband for Christmas. It was to replace our snowblower which had kicked the bucket after many years. He was really happy with this new electric option. He used it once and reported that it worked very well - just as good as the snowblower if not better he said, because it’s very light and easy to carry, maneuver, and store. It did a good job of removing a few inches of snow that first day. It was put in the garage until today, January 17, when he brought it out to use it for the second time. After this second use, it is no longer working! See my video. The shovel head has black plastic encasement on either side of it. One side has melted, and the belt is visibly protruding! I’ve never seen anything like this happen to any other product! I asked him if the battery overheated but he said the battery is located up in the handle so that can’t be what caused the meltdown. Somehow the belt must have overheated. He was only clearing 2 inches of fresh snow today so this mishap is not due to overuse. Crazy. Returning. I will not re-order. Ugh. So disappointed because he was very happy with this product initially and said it would save his back. I’m very happy that I am still within the return window. If not, I would be contacting the manufacturer directly!

Impressively Good Cordless Snow Shovel! Does a great job throwing the snow, excellent batter life, light yet study, and cleans down to bare pavement and asphalt if you desire. The directional vanes work well, and you can adjust the angle nicely even though it only locks at 45 degrees. But even not locked, the vanes worked well, and you can angle one van while keeping the other straight to further customize the throwing angle. Works well one handed or with a hand on top of hand grip if you want to keep more upright (I have to really watch my back, so this is a big plus). I'd give the shovel a 10 if I could! Worked well today in 6" plus of light and moderately heavy snow. Highly recommend this shovel!

It froze up during use about half way through my short driveway.

I have only used for 1 snow so far of about 6 inches. It froze up about half way through my driveway and had to thaw out. A little disappointed 😞 It is easy enough to use and carry. Throws snow well. Not sure how it will work with heavier snow tho. This snow was light and fluffy.

I'm soooo glad someone made this battery operated snow shovel! Yes it's a narrow path ,but so easy to use, lightweight and easy to change direction for snow blowing. I just had major back surgery, but could still use blower to make a safe walking path. Definitely not loud. So far seems very durable and moves deeper snow than lbs though it would. And so light weight l could pick it up to clear steps. I and 91 year old husband find it much easier to use than snow shovel! And if for any reason this one would break would spend the money to buy another one. And it comes with two batteries that last a decent amount of time.
