Description

Level up your home theater audio with the Definitive Technology Dymension DM70 Large Tower Speaker - a bipolar floorstanding speaker with an integrated subwoofer that features dual bass radiators, four BDSS mid/bass woofers, and tweeters for unrivaled sound. DM70's bipolar arrays are adjusted to optimize for room placement and hold a rear-array attenuation switch for near-wall placement. The 3XR Architecture combines an integrated 10” subwoofer powered by a Class D 180W amplifier and two passive radiators in this speaker. Its four 5.25" mid/bass BDSS woofers for superior midrange detail and custom aluminum oxide tweeter provide a smooth extended response with crisp transients and exceptional definition. To get deep-bass performance, it has a Patented Intelligent Bass Control that blends subwoofer output with mids and highs. This speaker also has a Patented Linear Response Waveguide that extends off-axis dispersion for total sonic immersion. These speakers are simply amazing. I had a 10” Definitive Technology subwoofer that I was going to hook up to my surround sound system, but it broke. After hooking up these two speakers, I don’t even need the 10” subwoofer. Each tower has a 180 amp 10” woofer integrated into them lol It would be overpowering for my whole system. My couch rattles. I added the Dolby Atmos DM90’s, as well a DM20 Center and the system rocks. ... show more

Have had these speakers since May and have had the red light blinking on the back. I'm hoping that the amp doesn't go out. I've had a set of the earlier models Tower speakers and one of the amp failed on those so I'm just hoping that the amp doesn't fail on these. Hopefully I unplugged it and reset it and it seems to be working okay now ... show more

I have seen amp failures in some of the reviews for these. I own the DT 9060 towers. I have gone through 2 sets of speakers and 5 amps. I don’t listen to these loud or have bass adjusted high. I’m curious how many people are having amp issues on DT powered towers? It seems as though DT has not figured out the amp problem and if this is the case, I would stay away from these. They do sound great but it is not worth fighting with customer service teams for the life of the speaker. ... show more

After agonzing over what hardware to put into our high vaulted ceiling living room, Amazon's 4th of July sales of DM60s came around and we bit the bullet. I could not have ever imagined how often I would sit on our sofa crying and with goose bumps running all over my body. There are probably many reasonable sound systems that you can get at this price point. But for a large head space room in a woodframe building with hardwood floors for low frequency resonance, the bipolar design seems super ideal.
