I've used a mesh tarp 'similar' to this for 5 years as a net for my golf simulator. Last week my son hit one thru the net...so i purchased an 8'x16' to double up and put behind my existing 10'x12'. now too be clear , for 5 years no balls went thru the net. however my clubhead speed w/5 iron is 75mph...my sons is 90mph.our net has always free hung till last week, i weighted the base for rebound issues. that most likely was the cause for failure. soooo what i'm eluding to is these heavy duty mesh nets are very strong and can be used for golf nets ..... just leave them free hang! ... show more

The first one I bought was 12x20 like label said on package, fit perfectly for my project. The 2nd and 3rd ones were 13x20 and 13x21 so needless to say I've had to compensate for the extra length and with for 2 projects, with an over-sized fitting...very frustrating.

Great mesh tarp. I am using it as a pool cover and it is working fine. It holds up to high wind and leaves and rain great. Hasn't been tested with heavy snow or ice yet but i feel confident will hold up.
