With that said I strongly suggest you have your instructions re-written by someone who english is their native language. I first started using hydroponic systems a year ago. Back then I didn’t know much but overtime I got a pretty good grasp on how to use it for best results. First thing you need to know is that if your hydroponic system doesn’t have air pump built in, you will need to buy one. Air pump is super important because it delivers oxygen to a plant and maintains healthy environment for the roots. Without air pump, you will also see a funky buildup in the nutrients tank and possibly create fungus friendly environment. Air pump will solve all that. Secondly, the lights. This system has light cycles programmed for a different stage of growth so you don’t have to get up at odd hours to turn it on or off. At first plant needs 18/6 light hour cycle and at a later stage that cycle needs to be 12/12. Imagine getting up early in the morning just to maintain the cycle. If you forget, your plant could get confused and enter flowering cycle too early. Furthermore, this system has 2 types of lights, not only 2 light settings. Certain light is needed for early growth stage while there’s a different light needed for blooming stage. Here you just push the button, it’s 2 in 1. The light bar extends up to 23” which is 5” more than my first hydroponic. 5” is a huge difference and allows the plant to grow taller and stronger. One thing to know about the light is that you need to start at the lowest level then gradually increase it as the plant grows. The system has EVERYTHING needed to start except seeds. It includes generously sized pods which is also important because the roots needs space and depending on what you’re growing, if your plant has a thick stem then you’ll definitely want a larger pods. I use General Hydroponic nutrients just because I bought a large batch but this also comes with the plant nutrients. There are 2 bottles, A and B solution and they’re both in crystalized form. You just need to add water. Once water is added, shake it and now you need to add it to the water tank. It takes just a few milliliters per gallon so measure carefully. I like to use filtered water free of chlorine but you can use tap water too. Overall, I am really excited to see how far the hydroponics systems have come. Oh and also, when choosing your plants, try to stick with the plants that grow similar in size so the bigger plant doesn’t block the light for smaller plants. If the plant you want to grow is bushy, then you should plan on spacing and not plant all the pods otherwise, your plant could suffocate each other and prevent them from reaching their capacity. I highly, highly recommend this hydroponic system. I am using this one to grow medicinal herbs as I’m going all natural. ... show more

I LOVE this!!! I'm a huge plant lover and with the cold weather setting in I've had to give up most of my garden. This allows me to still grow a few things like lettuce and it comes in very handy for starting plants. The only issue I have with it is the beeping when you need to add the nutrients, it's very loud and annoying and it took me ages to figure out how to shut it up. I like this concept very much. It is well-designed and seems to have the needed controls to take hydroponic countertop herbs from seed to plate! It is a good size and comes with everything you need (except seeds!). There are two things that concern me. Firstly, there is no UL or ETL compliance indicated which I really want to see with anything electrical. It seems to be well made, so I am going to try it in spite of that. Secondly, the instructions are so badly written. Hire native English speakers to write your instructions! The instructions were annoyingly bad. Also, the nutrients did not readily dissolve, but I can always use this system with any nutrients I want in the future, so that is not a deal breaker. Just shake them A LOT! OK, even with those two things (that really bother me), I like this unit. It makes germinating and growing plants available to nearly everybody with some electricity, even in small apartments and condos! I recommend this product! Good product! ... show more
