I bought this to replace a brand name doggie door that was plastic and only lasted 2 years. I expect this door to last as long as the house will as it's made of metal. Installation was easy. It'll be easier if you have a rivet tool. I highly recommend this door.

Great cat door, good value for money. My son in law followed the instructions and used the template to install the door from the (interior) great room to the screened in porch. Total installation time, from start to finish, including caulking and clean up, was two hours. Chuck the cat started using it, after the caulk was set, several hours later.

Not difficult to install and has a nice, clean, finished look to it. This is a cat door for us and the only Con I have is that the magnet in the bottom of the flaps are way too strong. It creates too much resistance for a timid cat to push it’s face against to go through. Then if my cat does go through, it makes a loud click noise when the magnet reconnects to the metal. There are two flaps, one on the inside and one on the outside. I was able to remove one flap which helped to get the cats to go through it, but one of the cats still won’t use it. I would really like to be able to get replacement flaps without the magnet. Having the flaps weighted a little at the bottom is good, but the magnet is too much. I tried to remove the magnet, but I couldn’t. It is probably glued in place. I would have to remove, maybe cut the whole plastic piece that holds the magnet off the bottom of the flap, which would leave the flap too short to block the entire door hole. It’s a good, high quality product and I do recommend it, it just needs that one simple modification to give it 5 stars.

This cat door is an absolute waste of money. The construction is flimsy, and the so-called "energy-efficient" features are useless. The magnetic flaps barely close, and my cat struggles every time. Save your money and look for something better.
