I put a Led Light bulb in it and mine that mimics a 120 watt bulb and it gives off a good amount of light. It looks nice and is stable but not rock solid stable. I like it. It sits on a coffee table between my couch and reclining chair. I also have floor Led reading lights if I need more light. It adds nice lighting at night, This takes the place of overhead lighting. It looks nice; a medium size lamp that measures 23 inches to top of the shade. The 25 inches measurement is to the very top nut holding the shade on. I would not have wanted a larger lamp. It does not feel like it is made of plastic, it is solidly made. You could tip it over by movement from a cat, dog or child but so could a lot of movements. It looks like the pictures so I can't see anyone complaining on what they received. The plastic knob is no different then any knob that turns on or off a lamp switch. If you want it brighter get a brighter bulb. It puts out the same amount of light any table light with a shade puts out... ... show more
