Great quality plastic. I expect this to help grow tomatoes in this bipolar Midwest weather. The thickness will keep it from tearing easily on any wire that may poke out, and I will be using a hydroponics system for the garden, so I don't expect this plastic to hinder the watering abilities. I'm sorry. I don't know how to review this. It looks like overkill to me. I was looking for something to quickly put over my young tomato and pepper plants in case of a light, late season frost. This looks like it's for a much harsher, had scrabble environment than mine. It is very thick and not very pliable. It looks semi-transparent in the photos, but I can't imagine being able to see through this material at all. I think if you need this kind of protection for ripe tomatoes, you've probably planted the wrong crop in the wrong place at the wrong time. I will not waste it though. These are basically 2 long sheets of pretty thick plastic. It does not “stretch”, and it does not allow air or moisture penetration. It will raise the temperature underneath it. I used similar red plastic sheeting as a ground cover around some of my tomato plants last year; the plants that had the sheeting grew larger and developed tomatoes sooner. So it definitely raised the temperature of the soil underneath it. I do worry about wrapping a tomato cage fully with this material - but I’m going to give it a try on one young plant, being sure to water it well and monitor it daily. The other sheet I’m going to use as ground cover again. I wish the sheets were a little wider, so I could use as a cover on top of the hoops of my raised beds. Sheeting is pretty thick and sturdy, is a little stiff, and you can see through it somewhat. ... show more
