I love that Amazon is making available this hard to find variety of plants. The planter is sturdy and good quality. I really like that it came with different instructions in how to maintain the plant. The self watering fixture functions properly and is a good way to no overwatering which prevent root rot. The shape of the planter is appropriate for the size of the plant. The plant looks healthy, only a couple of yellow leaves that need to be removed and to be honest is bigger than I expected. ... show more

    • Luxury price, subpar product.
Was sent a White Knight plant from Costa Farms. Only one leaf was variegated all other leafs are green and that one variegated leaf was cut off prior to shipping ( it's dry and shriveled up) and was buried deep in soil. Every leaf is damaged in some way including but not limited to cut off of leafs tips with some type of cutters and slahes through the leafs. It's clear from the coloration of leafs that this plant didn't have adequate light exposure. It has stunted growth to the point Costa Farms thought that the proper solution to this is putting to two small plants together in one pot to make it appear bigger, larger and more lush. Now those two small plants are stuck together in one pot and neither of their root systems have room to grow. Some worker(s) on your "farm" thought that this Frankensteined plant was "good to go" with it's damaged and cut leafs, lack of proper coloration and stunted growth do to lack of light exposure. Nearly forgot mention the pests that came with this plant. Costa Farms is selling products that are not as advertised on the listing. I contacted Costa Farms for proper replacement. This is the second Thai constellation I've purchased from Costa Farms, but the first was in store. I was exceedingly pleased that the plant arrived in amazing condition. It has 4 large leaves and is very healthy, but no fenestrations or lobes. Looks to be shooting a 5th leaf already. If I can find more room, I will get another. I originally received this plant Aug 22nd. The plant was packaged with great care with plastic wrap to keep the soil in place, a bamboo stick to support while shipping, and a brown paper bag like material around the plant between it and the box that made it easy to remove from the box. It came in beautiful condition. My only regret was not immediately removing the soil the plant came in. It's very dense almost spongelike in functionality, likely sone blend of coco coir and peat. Thats awesome for sitting in a shelf at a big box store but not so great in long term practice. I only watered the plant once the day I got it since it was bone dry. Within a week my plant showed signs of distress, some black spots along the biggest leaf. (4th Picture) So I took a trip to the store for tropical soil that was better suited for a monstera. Upon removal I immediately realized the issue. The plant was potted way too deep, nearly two inches down its stem, suffocating the base. (Finger for reference 2nd picture) That elbow shape of the plant needs to be at the soils base or it will die of stem rot. (3rd picture shows my finger at where the plant was previously at base soil level) Mind you it only took a week for this damage to happen. Thankfully I caught this early as Thai constellation monsteras are already pretty prone to root rot. Hoping the plant will bounce back. I hate even giving three stars seeing as this plant was sold to me destined to die with how it was potted. I'm only rating at three because aside from that fiasco it's a beautiful plant at a decent price. Just learn from my mistake and immediately replace the soil and check the roots and stem upon delivery. ... show more
