These ab straps seem to be adequately strong, but poorly designed. Both sides of the strap should be attached to the carabiner, with the carabiner located at the center of each strap, so they can be easily hung on an eye bolt. It isn't easy attaching the carabiner to the strap, due to the thickness and the fibrous nature of the strap. There should be a metal O-Ring on which to attach the carabiner, or, both ends of the strap should be attached to the carabiner, with the carabiner centered on the strap, so the carabiner can be connected, metal to metal, with an eye bolt. ... show more

They're quality, for sure. Good padding, sturdy design, thick carabiner. The only problem is that they're about 3 inches too long with no way to adjust them. They leave me hanging too close to the ground, interfering with the moves they're designed to help with.

I use these every day 15 crunches and then hang still to open up my spine. There’s hardly any padding so they dig in. They’re functional, but if you don’t mind spending more money, get better padded ones.

These work just fine. 4 stars because, while they aren't necessarily uncomfortable, they could be a bit more comfortable. The base (where your upper rests in the strap) could have a little more cushion. No pain, no gain, right?? I've had some before that felt softer, but I also suspect those were more expensive. Sone people have given it lower ratings because they don’t think it fits them correctly. I suggest they are using it wrong. Put your arms through. You don’t need to hold bar. Hang and do knee crunches. It’s a simple add on to a chin up bar and works exactly as it should. It’s also fairly comfortable on your arms as they rest inside them ... show more
