I randomly stumbled across this item when I was shopping for yet another 12v replacement battery and charger for our boys' Power Wheels (Mustang and Cadillac). I wasn't exactly sure how it would work but I read some of the other reviews that gave an option for connection. I have a picture attached to the review, but basically all I did was cut the wires that went from the car to the battery. I removed some of the sheath to expose the wire. I attached black to black and white to red and secured each with a wing nut. I put my Dewalt 20v 5ah battery into the adaptor, flipped the power switch on the adaptir and off they went. I am actually really shocked by how easy and effective it is. The cars are SO FAST now. I actually made the kiddos put on helmets (which I don't normally do) because of the change in giddy up. I am so happy with this purchase that I had to drop everything and write a review. I wish I had known about this sooner. This method is going to allow my boys to drive much longer and with much more power than before (read: less fighting, crying, etc). They are so happy. They were screaming laughing driving with the new setup. I highly recommend these!

Okay so my son got tired of running on my 20v DeWalt packs. I upgraded HIM to 8S instead of the 5s from the 20v packs. I got this ancient 18v cordless circular saw from my old man and thought: 'hey! 20 is close enough to 18, right? DC motors LOVE overvolting and these lithium ion packs kick the crap out of the old NiCds'. So I took the tool apart, removed the safety switch by the trigger and soldered this bad boy up! Used some old junk self tappers to hold the adapter to the bottom of the tool. Now this thing isn't idiot proof, if you stall it and keep the trigger held down no one except you is going to be responsible for the fireball in your hands. But I can coax this thing into cross cutting at max depth of cut (2.5") and it doesn't stall unless I twist it. I got about 20 cuts out of it in red oak and took a notch off of my DeWalt LED readout pack. Not saying you SHOULD do this, but if you wanna save some of those old power tools from the junk heap this may be a viable alternative.

I ordered 4 adapters... and 1 of them the switch broke the first time I pressed it right out of the box... so, I cut off all the fuses and switches so I could route the wires into my project instead of on the outside, only wish these were sold without the fuse and switch with just wires.. the mount itself is better than the others availble

My tester car battery starter/booster was to just direct wire to the car battery with several feet of 18 ga wire and after a minute or two of connection the car battery had enough juice to crank and start. The car started right up, the wire must have regulated the Dewault's 18v output (21v no load after charge) using just the car battery loading, didn't need a voltage regulator ( I put one on anyway in v2). Car battery was probably getting 15 or 16v, enough to charge it in a couple of minutes and allow a strong crank. I did remove the Dewault battery before cranking, no reason to take a chance of going into over voltage (lol).

These are super easy to install and make it super easy to quickly swap a dead battery for a charged one. Kid rides for hrs with all the batteries i have and the fast chargers. I put this adapter on 4 different power wheels.

I didn't end up needing the switch in my design. So i cut it out. Hoping to reuse it. However. The connection at the switch was soldered!! And heat shrinked. Which is awesome if you know anything about electrical. So whom ever made this took that extra step. I was very impressed. Comes with wood screws. Which i didn't need. I needed bolts. Hole size would be super helpful in the description. But not a game changer. I will definitely be buying more of these with a few more projects.
