So, Amazon sent me the wrong unit to start with, or rather the right unit with the wrong filter in it, nearly impossible to get a resolution with their support as they just don't understand or are not trained properly on how to rectify basic errors. At the end their only answer was to send me a new unit with the right filter, waste of money if you ask me but the conversation was going nowhere. Now, the filter has been used for just over two months and it is doing a great job, I use it daily and besides the pain to refill it to often, no issue. This is saving me and the wife the need to purchase gallons of water which can be a pain to carry and store. Water taste ok to me, no after taste so hoping the filter (original one i received) is doing its job. Can't speak yet for how long it will last but right now I am already saving money compared to buying gallons of water. Wish there was even a larger unit to be honest. ... show more

Somebody told me to try this Britta water filter and I have to say I’m pretty impressed. I no longer purchase bottled water and I live in an area that has extremely hard water and never would drink it now I’ll eat drink the tap water once it’s been in the fridge in the filter, I have no complaints. I purchased the one that you only have to change the filter twice a year due to the extreme hot water. I probably will change it more often than twice a year you won’t be disappointed. ... show more

I had a Brita pitcher before this. I thought this would be nicer because it wouldn't need to be refilled nearly as often. The downside is that I have to stand there with the fridge door hanging open while I fill my glass. Also, if you don't keep it filled up, the water starts coming out significantly slower. My fridge also has plastic rims on the shelves and the spigot doesn't extend far enough over to fill my glass so I have to pull it on to the very edge of the shelf each time. When it's full, it's also quite a bit of weight to have sitting on the end of the shelf. I'll probably just go back to using the pitcher again. It's much simpler to use. ... show more
