Works great. I like the fact that it has a reverse mode . I have used it four times now and is durable. Great for placing fence posts and planting 3 gallon Azalea bushes. I recommend this one because of the reverse mode in case you get it stuck under large rocks or tree roots. It will back it right out. No gas engines to deal with. Used it with a 100 ft. extension cord.

This is a great tool. I used it to dig 25 post holes in an hour and 1/2. Clay soil can get cement hard in the hot summer. Glad I used it this spring. No oil and gas to mix up. I did buy the extender, I am a tall GIRL. I'm very satisfied with my purchase .

In a pinch I've used these types of attachments on a power drill--obviously not ideal--but just for mixing. This tools securely locks the auger and has plenty of power to get going. You need a firm grip obviously, but this should handle most jobs unless you have very rocky soil.

As some folks know red clay is hard to get through no matter what you do so I was hesitant that an electric powered auger could drill through pretty hard red clay but I was pleasantly surprised. I have successfully put 4x4 post in my hard red clay soil using this auger and it did a pretty good job, I took my time I let the motor cool off in between uses and it got it done. I've also used it to plant some small saplings and it's been working great for that. The build quality of the machine feels nice and so far is held together perfectly and I can honestly say I think this is a good value for the money Just know you're gonna need extension cords Heavy duty ones to run this machine.

With its heavy duty, powerful 1500-Watt motor and 90 lbs. of torque, we are using this auger for multiple projects, including but not limited to post holes and relocating sapling evergreens. When my husband saw this he thought it would take two people to use it until I showed him the listing with a photo of a man using it by himself. After reading the specifications, I needed to order a heavier 14 gauge 200 ft. waterproof extension cord, as required by the auger, because the location for the holes is nearly 200 feet from our exterior house outlet. Now we are ready to use it to dig holes for the sapling trees we are relocating since fall is the best time for their transplant survival. Unfortunately, we have had a rainy fall with many delays and are working between the rain and now freezing temperatures. The only issue I can see is possibly having trouble with our mountain soil that has a lot of aggregate. It is hard to know what is down there, it can be good and bad, so the reverse function is very important and useful. Our next door neighbor has used gas powered rental augers successfully in the same type soil. If this auger can do the job we will be able to do a lot of landscaping and fencing next spring that we can’t by digging with hand shovels, In the meantime, when and if the rain stops over the next days, we will be using it for tree holes and I will update my review with the results.

The media could not be loaded. This six-inch auger is good. In the video, I purposely showed you an area with many rocks and roots that it was digging through regardless. It's a nice piece of equipment for so many things on the farm. For one reason or another, I need a whole dug, and what would take me half an hour and be larger, causing even more problems this can do in minutes without the extra drama. Great for fence posts and things like poles for satellite dishes. I even like that it's electric because they are quieter. It's light, easy to use, and has a reverse switch. Great purchase.

Excellent product! Easy to assemble and easy to use. I have used it to loosen soil for tree planting and it works great. I live in the Ozarks, so my soil is fairly rocky, but the auger negotiated the job well only occasionally getting hung up on a larger rock. The reverse switch is very handy for backing out of the hole if needed. Recommend this product if you want to make quick work of digging jobs around the house.

This is a powerful electronic auger for digging fence posts and other similar small, short holes. It has a lot of power and is quite durable for something that is powered with electricity. It is easy to use, especially after you take a moment to get used to how it feels and the amount of power coming off it. This item is absolutely huge, bigger than those manual post hole diggers that are very common. It can cut through dirt of almost any density, and it's unique screw design allows it to push even the stickiest mud away so it doesn't get clogged up while trying to bore into the ground. It is a big purchase and a large item to store and keep track of, but it will pay off in spades when you realize how quickly you can create small holes. To test the product I dug a few holes close together to create a larger hole for an inground fire pit. It worked so well and did not seem to lose power no matter what I did. This product is a must-have for anyone in the fence or landscaping business and is incredibly powerful.
