Description

Air-Dryr is a silent, inexpensive and effective way to combat moisture, cold, drafts and corrosion. Designed to operate anywhere continuously 24 hours a day - just plug it into any 110/120 volt outlet and leave it on. It works best when placed low on the floor of any damp, enclosed space allowing Air-Dryr to draw in cool, moist air. The damp air is gently heated to above the dew point, then released through the top vents of the device. The resulting natural convection circulates the air and prevents moisture from settling. Air-Dryr fights humdity with a different and simpler approach than other dehumidifiers or chemicals that sometimes empty liquids into a sink (or onto the floor when spilled!). Silent, energy efficient operation costs no more than a single incandescent light bulb. Designed with a thermal cut-off switch to turn Air-Dryr off if air flow is impeded. It's hard to overstate how surprisingly large this unit is. If you're thinking of buying it for a small-ish (<30 ft) boat, get the smaller 60 watt size. This would be overkill. I bought it for a 26 ft cruiser and it's hard to find a suitable place for it that's large enough.

    • Useless in occupied boats.
Product may actually work in some instances. The unit gets warm, and seems to radiate heat, but no moisture is taken away when 1 person is nearby, the unit simply does not give off enough warm dry air to counter that of a single person breathing. Use an oil heater, same concept, but it will actually WORK. This is almost $100 for a plastic covered hot plate. 👎👎👎 ... show more
