Turned out much better than I expected. We decided to assemble in or shop. We had all parts and no broken pieces. We assembled over several days in probably 3-4 hours total. We decided to wood glue all dowels and joints allowing for drying time. With included screws, this makes cabinet very sturdy. If you decide to use wood glue, go slow, follow picture orientations closely. Wood glue is very unforgiving. Finished with several coats of clear satin poly. The only thing I wish different is the hardware. It's copper and would have preferred gold/brass color. Still, it's a very handsome piece in our dining room. ... show more

    • Lovely but difficult to put together

We just moved and wanted some new furniture. When we found this piece and saw that it was real wood, we ordered it immediately. It came pretty quickly and in good condition. When we opened the box all we saw was a million pieces!! It was daunting but we persevered. We had a bit of trouble matching up all the holes but after two days it was completed. It looks really lovely but I have decided to paint it a off white chalk paint to go better with our decor. I would recommend this but you will need a heaping dose of patience on this one. ... show more

Well , I think this piece looks great.. My only big complaint is the doors never seem to stay shut. I’ve tried several things but the furniture just isn’t square or true. When I shimmy one door the other won’t shut. I’ll have to head to the hardware store and get something better. The quality is ok, but For $400 i expected it to be better. Lots of people complain about the time it takes to put it together but I had it together in 4 hours by myself. It was fairly easy if you’re handy and have the proper tools. Oh! And they shorted me 6 screws, but thankfully I had some on hand that worked just fine. ... show more

I wanted so much to love this buffet. The colors were great, but unfortunately one of the doors broke and it seems as if the wood wasn’t pressure treated as a drawer has a huge crack forming. I didn’t even finish decorating my coffee bar because I wonder how long I’ll use it.
