I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter to bake treats for our spoiled Pomsky. It's fun for a kid who is getting interested in cooking/baking but isn't quite old enough to be turned loose in the kitchen yet, though the machine does get quite hot, some adult help is still needed. The book contains some basic recipes that make it easy for you to create your own. I have worked up some very nutritious dog biscuits with this. I've been using chick pea flour rather than wheat or brown rice flour, as I'm not a huge fan of those flours for dogs. It's really nice to be able to gift the treats to our fellow dog lovers. One tip I will throw out, the first time we used it I didn't have cooking spray, so I wiped it down with olive oil like I would my cast iron pans. After trying cooking spray I have returned to olive oil. It's just less oily and probably way better for dogs than anything else. ... show more

I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my mom and she absolutely loves it. Very easy to use and bones turn out great every time. Apparently my brother and aunt even taste tested some lol. She said the recipe book looks really good and she wrote down the ingredients for a couple of recipes she needed to get at the store. Unfortunately between writing down what she needed and getting them the book disappeared. Trying to figure out if I can get another booklet for her. ... show more

I’ve used it a couple times so far and at first it was tricky but definitely just follow the recipes. It’s become a little hobby for me and my pet to make treats. Cleaning it is easy. I do suggest using a spoon to help get batter in the molds accurately.

For some reason, the dog loves this more than I do. It isn't a bad appliance, but does require patience. The advertisement says you can make treats with items you likely already have in your kitchen: IGNORE THAT. You will need to go shopping for ingredients. I’m not sure exactly how good this works because I bought it as a Christmas gift for my mother. It looks adorable and the included recipes sound decent. I’m sure her dogs will love them! I was a bit upset at the way it was shipped. It wasn’t shipped in a box or any other type of covering so the product was clearly visible. I had to tell my mother to close her eyes and rush the item into the house. Also the product box was slightly damaged upon arrival (see pic). I know my mother won’t care about that but as the person giving it as a gift, I was a little bit upset about the appearance. I will try to update once my mother uses it but I may forget seeing as how Christmas is still a month away. ... show more

This treat maker is so easy and affordable to make your own healthy dog treats! It was very quick to use as well. I was making them by hand and a cookie cutter but I will never go back after using this. Especially with how many you can make at once!

I really like this treat maker. Making your own dog treats will save you so much money! The waffle maker could be better quality. It would be nice if the plates could be removed for easy cleaning but they can’t so cleaning is no fun.
