I know this is a top quality product due to the fact ithe UV or Black Light flash light worked right out of the box. I also liked that given the device was without any charge the rechargable AA batterty I could use it roughly 3 hours lattter. On this note I want to say I loved the fact the flash light uas a USB rechargeable device. Very convent and the UV light came with the right cord needed to put power into it. I found that while the light worked on some bed bugs (the Devil's gift to humans) it did not on others. This was due to nature not technolgy there are strains of bed bugs that do not show up under black ligh or UV. I was shocked by this and started to blame the flash light till I read about this on Google and saw a dead bed bug light up a bright lime green. My sugestion is to allow about three to four hours to get a complete charge and go happy hunting for the indoor ticks. However I highly recommend skipping over this one if your looking to use it for Rocks an fluorescent minerals an go to dark beam an get the V4 Woods Lamp USB rechargeable there is one significant difference between the two which makes one better than the other , the woods lamp v4 is 10w this one here is only 5w I was amazed at the power difference. An I didn’t realize that they were different wattage at first . Yes the zoom feature is excellent on this model but the charging slot has already caused me issues after 3 months of use so far . So seriously they both are around same price if your looking for higher power for fluorescent mineral observation then go get the V4 woods lamp from dark beam ! This one is great too but not as powerful 😊 ... show more

Bought this to charge my glow in the dark 3D prints and I am quite pleased with that. The fact I can recharge it with my standard USB-C cord is great. The quality of this flashlight and the adjustable beam are both wonderful Highly recommend!

Used it for minerals identification and spotting scorpions while traveling in Arizona. Much brighter than the other UVs I have, easy to narrow the beam to wide to very narrow. Easy to recharge with a USB-C cable, battery time is very acceptable. Nice size and portable. Grandkids were sold on it.

So I just received this light last night, but before I used it, I tested the battery and it was a terrible one. This Battery is half of the MAH it is advertising. As you can see in the pictures, that was after it was drained and recharged, the battery sucks. Now for the lighting, you can easily see how much dimmer it is compared to a 395nm UV light. These are two different wave lengths and the 365nm light is not meant to be brighter, It’s meant to show you the areas in better detail. I know this light is meant to be used this way, but this is just not as powerful as it should be. FYI…the UV lights that use the 395nm wavelengths, are what you see at parties and stuff that make everything glow. Overall, if this light is used for simple and easy task, it’ll work. If you need accurate lighting and powerful UV beams, get a good quality one like a Weltool light. ... show more
