This flashlight is bright that's for sure, but I can't understand why the seller or manufacturer would want to exaggerate the lumen rating at 950000Lm or even 200000Lm as there is no way it could be that high. These lights use the XHP70.2 LED module which has a maximum rating of around 2000Lm at nominal current and if the LED is significantly overdriven it could do around 4000Lm. That said, it's still one of the brightest flashlights I have now, second only to my older 7000Lm (true lumen rating) and not by a lot, and the color is higher temperature so it might actually be better than the older one. The price was significantly lower too, around one-third of the cost of the 7000Lm light. This light also has a charge indicator made up of four small blue LED's that light up to show the percentage charge. When all four are lit that means it is 100 percent charged. I tested it out this morning before dawn and I can see the other reviews here are all true, it does literally light up the whole back yard. You could easily see a small animal like a skunk or squirrel maybe even a mouse at 50 feet, and that's pretty good, and that's if not focused. If it is focused, it's even brighter, much brighter, which makes this light one of the best lights I have now. The switch seems pretty durable also, and there is a USB charging port on the side so you can charge the Li-ion cell inside (if you use that option) and it's a 26650 size cell which is pretty good for a flashlight. My 7000Lm light uses four 18650 cells which are smaller. I have to recommend using this option because using three AAA batteries are going to run down pretty fast with the light on the highest setting. The current draw could be 5 amps or more, and AAA cells do not last that long at that kind of current level. I haven't measured the current yet, but if I get to do that I will update here. If you are worried about running down the 26650 cell also, you can either pick up a couple more on Amazon or get battery sleeves (also on Amazon) that fit inside and allow the use of regular 18650 Li-ion cells. Those will run down faster but still an interesting option. The other feature is that in addition to the charging port, which is type C, it also has a type A for using as an output to charge a phone or other small device. That's an interesting feature too. So overall I have to give this at least 5 stars and highly recommend it. Because it's such a good flashlight I have to wonder why they exaggerated the lumen rating. It's just fine with the maximum rating of the LED which is 2000 to 4000 lumens depending on the current level. I am not sure anyone would even want a light with more light flux than that in a flashlight.

The pro's: 1. It looks and feels comfortable in the hand. 2. It's very bright compared to each of my older flash lights. 3. One nice (awesome) feature that I've never seen before in any battery operated product is the fact that it can be used with any one of three different types of batteries. Therefore, if the current battery dies and cannot be recharged, you can use a different battery type that you might happen to have in storage! The batteries must, of course, be rated the correct voltage. 4. It has two USB ports on the opposite side of the power button. One is power input for charging and the other is power output to power or to charge other devices (maybe a phone?). 5. It includes a nice plastic storage case and a soft, strong, and well made sheath for carrying the flash light on a belt or other strap while hiking or camping, etc. Now the con's: 1. The power on/off switch is a button that you activate with your thumb (a nice feature) but it always has to cycle from "high bright" to "medium bright" to "low bright" to "flash" to "SOS Morse Code" then finally to "OFF" . I don't like having to press that button five times each time to turn the light off. 2. The advertised Lumens rating of 990,000 is laughable. I didn't actually test it but I would estimate that that number is 3 or 4 orders of magnitude higher than actual. Overall, it's a nice flash light and, despite those noted "con's" it's definitely worth the price and I highly recommend it. Oh, one cautionary note: Please don't allow a child to play with it because it is bright enough to damage the eyes. UPDATE: Originally I stated in my review that the power switch needed to be cycled through a series of presses in order to turn off the flash light. I was wrong. I later read the following statement in the Features section of the Amazon sales page for this priduct: Long press for 3 seconds to turn off the light, no need to cycle all light modes.

This is the ONLY good flashlight I've purchased on Amazon. Bright as h*ll. I liked this flashlight so much I bought a second one. Only one problem with this new one, I had a heck of a time getting the rechargeable battery to fit into it. When/if that battery gives out, I'll have one heck of a time getting it out. Hopefully that isn't an issue later on. Update: I returned two so far that were defective. If you try to buy one of these flashlights I wish you luck. Because one good one out of three isn't good enough to risk it. I've been to Staples so much I'm about ready to ask if I can rent a room. Amazon is trying to pawn off their garbage hoping you won't return it.

I've used mine almost every day for several years now. My most recent purchase was the second as a gift for my mother who says she doesn't know how she lived without it going outside at night. I'm still on the original rechargeable battery and charged it hundreds of times. I've dropped it on concrete floors blacktop driveways hard enough i expected it to be broken. Ive generally beat the crap out of it. Still holds a full several hour charge and functions like new. I've never put a single battery in it besides the original rechargeable it came with. Only part that failed was the rubber plug that covers the charge ports leaving them exposed to elements. The rubber plug failed very quickly but hasn't affected the functionality one bit. I could cover the ports with tape but don't feel the need to. I'm buying my 3rd right now. For me it's been a fantastic product. I highly recommend this flashlight. Also the strobe feature is extremely bright and will blind any human instantly for self defense purposes or to be seen from long distances. Generally awesome

Excellent product!! It has a very powerful light, I love the fact that it can be used in two ways with AAA batteries and with USB rechargeable, it is also very comfortable to charge in your hand and for emergency situations you can use the rechargeable battery to give battery to the cell phone, it also comes with a very useful and practical small additional gift to put on the key ring and illuminate the door lock or something else that is desired since it is a small but very good light. the truth exceeded my expectations. I had a communication with the seller in which I got an immediate response from him, which is excellent customer service; I asked him if it was normal for it to get hot, to which he replied that due to the strong light it generated heat but that he recommended adjusting it to medium brightness if the heat is too much but that it was normal anyway. This handy sized super durable flashlight is not only SUPER bright but very well made and comes in a small hard plastic case with soft eggcrate foam inside. The flashlight comes with a new lithium battery and 3-AAA batteries that can be put into the battery holder included. Also included is a lanyard that can go around your wrist, a belt strap flashlight holder to easily carry, a USB to type-C cable to charge the lithium battery when the onboard luminated charging indicator needs a charge (6-8 hours for full charge) and a small button sized keychain flashlight that can be attached to your keychain of choice for finding the keyhole in a door, car or any other places needed for convenience. The flashlight has a zoom feature that will go from a wide shot to fixed focus at any longer distance. All the features work as described with the 5 different modes of using it. I like the battery charge indicator on it and it also says you can use it as a power pack to charge your phone with but I haven't used it for that. The instructions say you can turn off the light while in any of the 5 modes by holding the button down for 3 seconds instead of running thru all the modes. A word of warning, my flashlight's lithium battery came with a very thin and hard to see plastic skin around it and when I first installed it in the flashlight I couldn't get it to turn on. After taking it out and closely inspecting it, I saw the skin has a break in it so I started to peel it away until it was removed. I then reinstalled the battery and the flashlight turned right on. (The seller sent me an email the day after I got it telling me this was an issue on some of the flashlights that went out but I told him I figured it out and all was good). This flashlight is super sturdy, super bright and is the best flashlight I've ever owned. Will probably purchase another one for myself and it is an excellent idea for a gift purchase. Thank you!!!
