So far its awesome. Cheap too! 23.00. but I got the extention headband and sensor. still cheap with all that. I found that mine works with extention and the bigger 18650 battery and its a flat top not a bottom top as some folks have been writing, it works. I took it out of my Thermal Scope that uses flat top ones and it worked fine. I bet after some time the spring might compress at the bottom and maybe then it will need button top battery. but right now I am loving this. I don't trust the pocket clip when its in the small configuration. it wants to week its way out so I lock it and just put it in my.pocket, but when the extention is on it and the bigger battery I use the clip much like my other pocket has my knife. great light! now lets see if it lasts and if I can figure all 8 thingsbits does lol. ... show more

Well, another purchase where I was not expecting much but am very pleasantly surprised. I got two of these to serve as the go-to for basic household needs and/or as an emergency lighting source. I also wanted a unit like this that had multiple mounting options, including linkage to a headband, to serve as a headlamp. I often need a headlamp for home improvement tasks when the electricity has to be off, or I'm in a crawl space -- these lights mount securely onto a headband, which is great. I also love that the light has a mounting clip, and a magnetic base -- that's very handy. Light output is pretty good. Or, at least, certainly good enough for my needs. The throw isn't amazing, but illumination for a room-sized area is more than adequate. This light would not be the right choice for a "tactical" type use case, where high illumination at long distance is required. One thing that is very slightly disappointing is the fact that the unit is pretty heavy. I'd kinda hoped that the light would be something could use as a headlamp for hiking, back packing, and bike touring. But for those uses it might be considered a bit on the heavy side. On the plus side, though, the weight of the unit is due to its metal construction (which really does feel high quality) and waterproof sealing. The controls, while easy to get used to, are not exactly intuitive. But, then again, it seems like all these sorts of lighting options have their very quirky means of selecting which lighting option you want. It's one click to turn it on, then click-hold to switch to the next highest level. Then another click to turn off. It "remembers" where you had set the next time you turn it on. So if you turn it on in the middle setting, and want the lowest setting, it's on click on, then click-hold, click-hold again. Not super convenient but not the end of the world. I just don't get why they don't simply put a selector switch on these things that allows a person to simply set it where they want it. Considering the very small price paid, I really have no substantive complaints about the light. It's definitely worth it. ... show more

Holy canoli! I was quite surprised when I received the light. For the money, this is a screaming deal. The light is insanely bright and the controls are intuitive (pretty much same as most lights). The light seems like it's made really well for being the price it is. Fits nicely in all pockets. The magnet is strong. The only thing I don't like from the light are the modes of brightness. It goes from moonlight to bright to even brighter. Would have liked to see the moonlight be a little dimmer and a few brightness settings in between moonlight and bright. All in all: great light. Very versatile and bright. Feels like spraying pepper spray when you use it lol ... show more

if you have the E7 light and want a way to use it hands free, this is a good option. I will be using it for night running as the E7 is far superior and smaller than a regular flashlight or any of the running lights I see for sale. The E7 clips into the band securely and can swivel up and down. there is a notched rotating piece so that it locks into place, it will not move up and down while running, it will stay in the position you set it at. My only complaint is the back of the hard plastic mount plate does not have any cushion or foam, If you have this band on your head w/o a hat or beanie, it is uncomfortable. The plastic just pushes against your forehead. For 10 bucks they could have put some foam or cushion on the back. This is meant to be worn on your head, not sure what they were thinking. -1 star for poor comfort at the mounting plate area. The rest of the band is very nice and comfortable, seems well made and the writing on it is reflective (good for running too). This does hold the E7 very well, and I dont think another option would be better, so I'll keep it...when its cold out I can wear it over a beanie, but for all other times I'll end up installing my own foam so I dont have an indentation on my forehead after using this product. ... show more

At first I thought the price was a bit much. But after receiving the light and using it, it is a high quality unit. It is amazingly bright and has some very cool options. If you're looking for a small highly portable super bright light then this is your item. Their website is definitely worth a look I'm going there to buy stocking stuffers for Christmas. ;) ... show more
