It wasn't hard to place together, just tedious. I wish the bars stayed in place better because as we were putting it on the bed, they kept popping off. Once the mattress was on it, it was fine though. It seems very supportive and I like thr low profile so the mattress isn't too tall.

It comes with the instructions and tools, but assembly is pretty obvious and easy; just note that there will be a few extra screws and nuts left over (at least with the king-size version that I purchased).

Even without the cover it doesn’t fit IN the frame, it’s sits up on the edges. Have to take it apart and send it back. Sigh.

Not a bad box spring once it’s put together. The act of putting it together was horrible. The nuts wouldn’t screw on to the screws that hold the entire frame together without using a key to hold the screw in place and using pliers to simultaneously screw the bolt on. After doing that about 10 times, I wanted to throw this thing off the balcony. So keep that in mind when deciding to purchase
