This is a really nice watch, very small and elegant with a fantastic bracelet, but personally I think it pales in comparison to the Quadro Sterling in silver stainless steel with a white dial. I think that colour scheme better suits a watch of this size and shape. That said, I'm not the boss. My wife loves her Quadro Sterling but she also wears her Melrose quite often. The Sterling goes with her wardrobe a little better, but while it's great for daytime wear she likes to wear the Melrose at night when she's in the mood to dress up a little (though it's not like the opportunity to go out has come up all that often in recent months). At the end of the day this is just a simple, elegant and very well made watch that will suit pretty much anyone, and especially people with slender wrists. It's smaller than you might imagine from the photos, and appears quite delicate while feeling well put together. ... show more

This watch by David Wellington is a beautiful watch. I was a little taken back at first when I opened the box. I was not expecting it to be as small as it is. I just had it in my head that it was a normal sized watch after seeing the pictures on the product page. But in reality, it is a very small dainty watch which is more like a bracelet watch. To illustrate that I took a picture with a regular size Michael kors watch that I normally wear next to it so you could see the size difference and have a reference point. Once I warmed up to the idea of a smaller watch and this form factor, started looking at the details on the watch. It is very well constructed and you can tell that it's a very expensive watch. I love the black face and the bracelet is adjustable. It's a watch that is more elegant looking and doesn't pop out at you like my other watches until you take a closer look at it. Once the watch does have your attention, it's at that point you realize how nice of a watch it is. I'm only going to wear this watch for special occasions when I dress up and got this watch specifically for my upcoming 20 year anniversary next week. We are going to Vegas for 3 days and this watch will compliment some of my outfits. It is a beautiful watch once it has your attention and I highly recommend it. ... show more

This Daniel Wellington Quadro Melrose Watch has a rose gold mesh bracelet and a rectangular case/dial. This is a minimalist watch which has a certain elegance and simplicity. The base metal is rose gold double plated 316L stainless steel. The black dial is a great contrast to the rose gold.
