Works well, but requires detailed cleaning
The egg beater works well. We purchased it 3 years ago. Upon examination, the plastic bushing for the gearing is wearing out which causes a slight wobble that makes it feel like the gearing could be tighter. This morning I was disappointed because it looked like the stainless steel was rusting. However, it must actually be old food residue, because detailed work with a small wire brush was able to clean it. My husband prefers this manual style of beaters.

A very handy kitchen tool
Convenient when a power mixer is just too much of a pain. Nostalgic and retro like the one my mom had when I was a kid. It was an appreciated gift.

Not Your Mother's Beater
It does indeed arrive in an envelop/bag rather than a box which gave me concerns when I picked it up. It looks nice and shiny and sturdy but two of the beater arms catch on each other going around and make it hard to building a consistent movement. I am hoping this loosens up in time. I would recommend you go to yard sales and look for one in person.

Hard to find
I looked for a long time to try to find the rotary Butor just like my mother had, which was indestructible and all metal. This was the best I could find. Still not like moms, but does the trick
