Beautifully designed cutlery that is functional comfortable and extremely sharp. The box it comes in is as nice of a box as you could put something in beautifully crafted with a sheath and a metal Dalstrong pin so if you’re giving this as a gift it’s perfect. I already purchased zwilling pros that were made in Germany and while I love them they just were two classic looking…. they look like every other knife in every kitchen across America and I wanted something more modern and different and these certainly fit the bill. The quality is just about as good but they are half the price with a lifetime warranty. They are 20 to 30% sharper and more comfortable and lighter. Pros: modern design. It seriously looks like a stealth fighter landed on your counter top. Definitely a conversation piece one guess come over. Extremely sharp out of the box Well balanced Light but not “cheap” feeling Extremely comfortable in the hand actually the most comfortable kitchen knife I have ever held. While I’m not a professional cook I’m a long time knife collector and these knives are beautiful and functional and extremely comfortable. All the handles are the same size whether you have a pairing knife or their 10 1/2 inch sushi knife you can actually grip them comfortably. I am a large man at 6 foot six with large hands and what I hate about other knife sets is that the smaller knives have small teeny tiny handles to grip. That would be fine if I could put on my teeny tiny hands to use them but I can’t so they are quite useless to me. These handles are exactly the same size across-the-board which is great. Lifetime warranty Cons: Made in China. I know that they have gotten aeons better recently but usually their products typically fail a lot sooner than American made or German-made or Japanese made products…. Only time will tell. But after Reading all the reviews it seems like they have excellent customer service. The black coating looks fantastic but I’m afraid it will scratch and or wear out over time. I’ve owned some other black coated blades before and after a few months they start looking worn and pick up a few scratches. Since I just ordered these and it’s November I have until February 1, 2022 to return them so I’ll try them out for 3 months and then report back. I wanted to get the 5 pc set but they are sold out everywhere so instead I bought this universal stainless steel knife block and then stuck on their pin on it and it turned out pretty good. Bottomline: these knives are sharp figuratively and literally so just go ahead and buy them you won’t regret it. And after all what do you have to lose? It’s Amazon so you can send them back for free ….and right now you have till February 1st of next year to return them.

Excellent quality of material. Easy to use, no balance issue whatsoever. Price is good, I've purchased knives before from the wal and targ places and have been disappointed. I have been using this knife for several months now and it has retained it's sharpness like it's day 1 out of the box. This 8 inch size is perfect for me.

Update: Dalstrong customer service quickly reached out to me upon hearing about my issues with the knife and got a replacement to me extremely fast! They really do care about their customers and product’s quality. The new knife is sharp right out of the box and isn’t having the issue with water getting caught in the handle. They nailed it this time around. Solid customer service and a solid product. 10/10 Dalstrong, you had my support even with the one knife I had issues with, but now you’ve got me locked in for good. Thank you! Original review: 2 stars I love Dalstrong and have several of their knives. This however is my least favorite. Pros: -Very pretty, for sure a knife to show off -Great grip on the handle, best of all Dalstrongs - The blade is smooth and easy to clean off Cons: -Didn’t come very sharp, has trouble with tomatoes and onions for example. Needs sharpening on a whetstone immediately -Water can get inside the knife where the blade and the handle meet. This is a huge no no and will cause bacteria to grow. Major design flaw that I can’t look past. I won’t be buying anymore knives from this series because of the water that can get trapped in the knife. It’ll rust and get bacteria very quickly. Design needs improving. Can’t use this in a professional kitchen with certainty it won’t get anyone sick.

I love this chef knife! Great quality, good balance, I like the grip, slices like a dream, sharpens easily. Quickly becoming my ‘go to’ blade. It’s also a good weight and you don’t get the hand fatigue that can happen with some knives. I will buy more from this brand. Solid work piece for a reasonable price.

I bought this knife for work and so far its great, nice and light but still sturdy easy to clean and showed up sharp enough to shave with it. Only complaints is when using a pinch grip the top of the knife is pretty thin and jagged so it kind of cuts into your palm with prolonged use and when chopping vegetables they tend to stick to the blade a bit. (I know they have a separate knife for this but I got the chef knife for wide versatility) But I still find it to be an excellent knife with a nice comfortable and slick handle. Also I love the pin that came with it, very solid and satisfying weight to it. I put it on my chef jacket and it looks pretty cool compared to other pins I've had in the past.

Really great product. Exactly as advertised, great steel and sturdy. Have only had it a few months. Only thing I dont like about the knife is that its very thin. The knife is light as a feather. Still hard to trust the knives steel, its so thin it feels like it might break. But it has not and it has not broken.

Built like a tank. Slices clean, balances right, and has become my daily chef knife. Very sharp out of the box and easy to maintain; A Heads-up: the black coating can show scuffs if you sharpen past the bevel,mostly cosmetic, but worth knowing. Great general-use knife with a comfortable, confidence-inspiring handle and clean slicing.
