This reel is everything any fisherman could want-quiet, smooth, light and has a very powerful drag. Running the 3000 model on a 7 ft fenwick HMG mostly for pike and bass fishing. Runs 3/8 and 1/2 ounce spinning baits easily, would move up to a larger size for 3/4 ounce lures. This is by far the smoothest cranking reel I’ve put hands on. Recently picked up the new shimano Vanford and this beats it for 70 dollars less. ... show more

Superb performance from this 3000 size spinner. I’ve caught everything from pike to walleye to bass to panfish and it hasn’t given me any trouble. Super smooth and lightweight, nothing I can find to critique it on. Overall and excellent design and very well performing.
