I bantered back and forth with myself over the price, but ultimately made the choice to just get it after looking over several other reels but kept coming back to this one. It's mounted on my rod of choice and damn... I am completely happy I did order it. 65# eight strand braided line is going on it with an additinaly50 yards of 50# flourocarbon line for the clearline on an older Fenwick one piece salt water rod. It's for my dad who passed away a few years ago and this was his favorite rod to fish with. I like to think I can hand him back this rod and he would greatly approve of it. And someday, my son will inherit this combo and one day, give it to his son as well. I'm that happy with it. ... show more

Bought and use for muskies, works good, takes a bit of fidgeting to dial it in and quiet a bit of thumb feathering to work it smooth avoiding backlash. Also it took about 10 all day trips of casting to break it in and really smooth it out.. try suffix 832 braid, made a big difference.
