    • Poor service
I currently have 7 Dlink cameras in my house, they worked great for the first 2 years and now unfortunately they will all shut down at the same time except one or two cameras (the same 2 every time) and will not reconnect for a couple hours. I contacted support after trying all I could do and all they could tell me was it was my internet connection, even though a different brand camera and other wifi devices do not drop off or show any wifi signal loss. After even getting a newer faster internet set up from my provider still have the random drop off. Support told me to adjust my modem settings which they were already at the suggested settings. I then uninstalled and reinstalled every camera which took approx 4 hours for 7 cameras, and still no fix. At this time I cannot recommend DLink as a reliable camera option, I would not purchase again. ... show more

    • Bad software, service and support. Hardware is ok
Installs easy enough and works fine on local network if that is all you want. But I bought it to check my home and dogs while overseas and for this it is completely useless. They must have cheaped out on their server because I could only connect once in three weeks. I thought it unreliable even before I went overseas. Phone app was useless. But I thought with patience I would be able to see sometimes at least. Customer service was useless I ended up getting it working myself from out of country with help of a family member in my home country. I tried firefox, chrome and finally internet explorer before it worked but now it is not working again and I know it is because they do not provide an adequate server. You are also confined to their useless server because of the software. If you just want a surveillance camera for when you are at home it is probably good enough for that but I wouldn't recommend if you thought you would buy to check home when you are abroad. ... show more
