Great OEM replacement
Size: Regular Light, 45-130 (5-String)
Style: Super Long Scale, 5-String
I've had my Ibanez BTB 5 String for close to 20 years and love it. The original string model is no longer available and I've been looking for a suitable replacement. I went back to the Ibanez website and found that these NYXL strings are now the OEM for the new BTB. Easy to install. Real rich ring and sustain. Nice feel. I can't speak to the longevity at this time but they seem to hold up and sound great.

Sounds good
Size: Regular Light, 45-130 (5-String)
Style: Super Long Scale, 5-String
I bought the Super Long scale and put this on my Mike Lull M5v bass where the 5th string (B) goes through the body, and it was still long enough, if anyone has any concerns about that part. In general they sound nice. Not too stiff not too light, just about right. That is for me though, people might have preferences. No complaints so far.

XL’s……with more
Size: Regular Light, 45-130 (5-String)
Style: Super Long Scale, 5-String
So up front, I really like the Daddario XL’s….so much so that I’m reluctant to use another string unless I know first hand they’re great. Took a chance on these because the promises of even better intonation and tuning stability, more flexibility, and better low-mid range punch made me decide to try them. Glad I did….they sound like XL’s with some extra juice…..and they feel great. The B string really sings with these also. Totally recommended if you are a Daddario fan….and if not? Try em anyway. We all want that elusive tone (whatever that means to you). Side note….if you are using regular XL you may need a slight truss rod tweak as these are slightly less tension. I really didn’t HAVE to on my Lakland 55-02D, but in order to get that little bit of relief I needed a half turn.
