I ordered these because this extended-stay is terrible about maintenance and there were multiple bulbs burnt out or flat-out missing; now I can see in the kitchen area and the living room, and the bedroom isn't quite as much of a dim cave if the switch is on (though that does end up highlighting all the poor maintenance over the years). I didn't have much for expectations for these bulbs, just fit the socket, turn on and be reasonably bright, so they've met the expectations well enough so far. I can't speak to their longevity, as I've only had them for a few days so far, but they don't seem to get too hot after being on for hours, and heat is generally what ends up shortening lifespans on LEDs, so they should last for a couple of years. ... show more

I have been systematically getting rid of incandescent bulbs in my house. I have become disenchanted with the band of bulbs I have been using due to longevity issues. I decided to switch away from my old brand and ordered these instead to replace the last four incandescent bulbs left in my house. I like that they are 60W equivalents but use only 9W of power to achieve a similar light profile (in the picture with two light fixtures, the nearer fixture has the new LEDs installed and the farther one still has the incandescent bulbs). I have been using the new LEDs for about three weeks now and have no complaints. One thing I will mention is that the light from these bulbs is a bit harsh. If you are lighting an area that calls for softer light, you may want to skip these. I wanted the brighter (incandescent like) light for the room, so they are working fine for us. The manufacturer claims that these bulbs will last for 13 years. My old brand makes similar claims, but I am doing good to get two years out of them. I will update this review if I notice longevity issues with these bulbs. ... show more

It's hard to review a product that promises a 15,000-hour (almost two years without turning if off) lifespan. I want three things out of a light bulb. - It should last it's lifespan - It should be as bright as advertised. - It should melt/blow up. This bulb has checked the box on all three for almost a month of use. I'll update the review if the first and last things become issues. The form factor is nice. These are good-quality standard LED light bulbs. They have the standard A19 dimensions and the normal E26 base, so they will fit in pretty much any regular fixture. They are not dimmable. The power rating of the bulbs is 13W, but I check the actual wattage of every type of bulb I acquire because there is a surprising degree of "exaggeration", especially for more specialty bulbs, and exaggerated wattage means exaggerated light output. I used my watt meter to measure the power draw of the bulbs; each drew 12.3W, which is within measurement uncertainty of the claimed 13W, so I believe the 1500 lumen rating. The bulbs put out nice white light having a color temperature of 5000K, which is my favorite general-purpose light color. I could discern no flicker or buzzing. They have a rated lifetime of 15,000 hours (13.6 years at 3 hours per day). At a price of just a little more than $2 per bulb, these are a really good value and I like them very much. ... show more
