Larger lock works great on my ebike (Juiced Hyperscorpion) with large frame and fat tires. You have to work it a bit to get the end into the lock, but once locked, it is very sturdy and secure!

Looks strong and is certainly heavy, but no more protective - or an intimidating deterrent - than a cable. Lost my bike in the first month of ownership from a patrolled garage in my apartment. Get a U-lock instead.

I originally purchased this on 11/29/21 for $109.44 w/ tax. It was glitchy and didn't open easily so I returned it. I bought it again on 12/4/21 for $104.31 w/ tax because I liked the design and really wanted it to work. The second lock worked about 2 times only. It was very difficult to open both times. I thought maybe I was not strong enough so I asked my boyfriend to open if for me. We tried this on 3 outings and always reverted to using a simple cable and padlock that he used for his E-bike. Amazon referred me to Abus who referred me to Great Lakes Outpost who referred me back to Amazon to open "a return request within Amazon and sending back that lock to us for a refund; allowing you to reorder the lock from us or another seller" even though the invoice I supplied to them was clearly outside the 30-day return window. I asked Great Lakes Outpost for a replacement because it was within the warranty window but they said they would " just a refund that will allow you to repurchase the lock from us or another seller. " Once they received the lock, they stated it was working and would be charging me a 25% stocking fee. I don't dispute they were able to finally open it because I was able to open it 2 times, as I said. However, both those times was with incredible struggle. This product is NOT easy to open for the regular user. After about 7 emails back and forth, Great Lakes Outpost refused to replace it and failed to tell me they might charge a 25% restocking fee. Thanks to Amazon, I received the remaining 25%, a Goodwill Refund of $20.87. I do not recommend this product or buying from this Great Lakes Outpost as they might hit you with a surprise restocking fee if you need to use the warranty. ... show more
