  • Powerful And Reliable Backup With A Cool Gaming Look Powerful And Reliable Backup With A Cool Gaming Look
I have used the UPS for a few weeks now and it has been a really nice desk and a workhorse of sorts for me. Overall, it has been a good tool in conjunction with my desk setup, especially since I’ve been using it for the next couple weeks now. I got it primarily to fend off power cuts for the sake of protecting my gaming PC, monitor, and other peripherals like your computer and monitor for gaming PC, my monitor and a couple of other laptops etc. I didn’t think the task it would make any differences and so far I’ve taken off with no issues as a result. I plugged it in and plugged my gadgets, and all was lit up. The unit itself still feels solid, not too light, not too flimsy, and that’s fine to me, it’s just a little bit reassuring that it’s set up for easy use. I do really like the number of ports. There are so many of them, so I didn’t have to decide which devices could be dropped. I plugged my PC, monitor, speakers along with a couple of smaller peripherals, and there was enough to fill in the gap. Which made it feel a lot more adaptable compared to smaller units. I had a brief power-cut when I had you on and the UPS switched over quickly. My PC remained on and that's allowed me to save my time and power things down right. It was one of the reasons I was looking for something like that and it worked as expected at that moment. The battery backup appears to be acceptable for small outages. I haven't done so for long sessions, and for quick power outages it gave me enough time to react. It feels reliable in that sense, but ultimately the runtime is contingent on the number of devices you connected to. The USB C charging port is another nice feature. I used it to charge my phone and it worked great multiple times. Thanks to my own charger this helps you too. Small detail, but useful in day to day usage. The RGB lighting provides it with a more modern aesthetic. Its not too bright and fits well in a gaming setup. It’s more of a visual add-on than anything fundamental, but it does seem like the unit is a touch more distinct. Low noise in my experience. In average use it is silent, and even when you switch to battery mode you can hear it, but it’s not distracting. I have it near me and gaming or work is not problematic with it. Build quality seems good overall. The unit is sturdy, and the buttons and indicators easy to read. After a brief usage I did not find it difficult to follow through on what each light/function was. A few tiny factors to keep in account. It's somewhat bulky so it needs space in your design. Similarly, one of those things that is OK, but you should be aware, when running on battery there will be something subtle like a hum, I'm sure. I am more than satisfied with this UPS. It acts as a reliable backup for short outages and it helps to safeguard my gear. USB C and lighting are nice extras, but they make it more or less as a standalone. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a usable backup method of supporting a gaming or home office if you would like something that also looks pretty modernized in addition to traditional office stuff. ... show more

  • Absolutely Fantastic Tech, Plug in All Your Devices And Have Peace Of Mind
Just to give a quick synopsis before going into more detail. I am quite happy to have purchased this! It has saved me big time, as I'm currently experiencing electrical issues with my breaker. I've been dealing with my main gaming room overloading the breaker randomly and cutting the power. Having this hooked up to my TV, PC and gaming system have been a lifesaver for when that happens. I will say, the battery on it seems to drain pretty quickly, however. After about 15-20 minutes it looked like it was on the last bar of battery life. That being said, I do have a 1000w Power Supply Unit in my PC and a very high quality TV hooked into this too. CyberPower GX150C2-E is an excellent UPS seemingly designed specifically for gamers who want reliable protection for their gaming PCs, monitors, TV's or networking equipment. With a 1500VA/1000W capacity, pure sine wave output, and advanced surge protection, it delivers the performance needed to keep high-end systems running during power interruptions. This model in particular has seven battery-backed outlets and six surge-protected outlets, providing plenty of room for a gaming setup that includes a PC, monitor, router, console, and accessories. During brief outages, it provides enough runtime to save work, finish an online match, or safely shut down equipment without risking data loss or hardware damage. I also love the customizable RGB lighting and the clear color LCD display that shows battery status, load levels, and power conditions at a glance. It's honestly just a really nice touch overall. Dual USB-C charging ports are a convenient addition for charging controllers, headsets, and mobile devices too! Performance is backed by strong surge protection rated at 1,445 joules, a three-year warranty, and a $500,000 connected equipment guarantee, which definitely does provide some extra peace of mind. It's important to have something you can count on, when it comes to your expensive tech. Especially with the price of PC parts these days... I absolutely recommend picking this up, if you're thinking about it! ... show more

  • Reliable power in an outage; cool lighting effects for gaming or home office
With a UPS device there's no more having to wait for my router/gateway to reset after a brief power outage, and it keeps my gaming console online until I can shut it down properly. The UPS's internal battery keeps your devices (like your router) online when your power goes out - several minutes at least, to a couple of hours, depending on the device. I have two other models of Cyberpower UPS devices that perform flawlessly, and this "gaming UPS" model is no different. Of course you don't have to use it for gaming, but the RGB lighting looks great in that environment. I used to use a different (popular) UPS brand, but Cyberpower seems more user friendly, in my opinion. Cyberpower devices are simple to set up, and this one with the 'extra' RGB lighting was quite easy with clear and simple instructions. You can set the lights to a smooth, non-distracting 'zen' mode, a variety of other preset scrolling/flashing lighting modes, or you can leave them off. This unit powers and protects my PS5, desktop, a laser printer, a tower fan and most importantly my router and mesh device. (Just to note, you shouldn't put a printer on the "surge + battery" side; it will cause an alarm because printers generally cause a power spike when they start up.) You can scroll through the display (easily) to show incoming volts, battery charge level, battery capacity/potential run time, and more. If you want, you can connect the UPS to your laptop/desktop via the provided cable so that you can see the unit's status and other information there. There's a simple 'reset'/mute button and on/off button. This unit came with a fully charged battery, but that wasn't the case with my other units - you can use it immediately, before it's charged, you just won't have the battery backup feature available until the battery fully charges. The receptacle on the front is handy although I haven't made use of it just yet; I believe it is a surge + battery receptacle, so that's nice to have an 'extra', plus the convenience of an easily accessible plug. Also, this is a 'sine' unit vs 'pure sine', if that's a consideration for you. I've been very happy with the performance of all of my Cyberpower units, and this one is no exception. I highly recommend it for it's performance, but the added lighting for your gaming set up or just adding a bit of light & color to your home office is a plus! ... show more

  • Good, Reliable Power from a Trusted Brand Good, Reliable Power from a Trusted Brand
We know Cyberpower is a good brand, so when we saw this GX150C2-E Gaming UPS Backup/Surge Protector, we jumped on it. It’s a lot fancier than the standard “brick” type ones we’ve used for decades and we like the LCD display that shows the status and we love that the text for the button is printed in an easy-to-read white so we don’t have to strain our old eyes to read it :) Although we have a gaming PC, we don’t play games, we do a lot of graphics creation, so protecting the expensive PC is very important. Installation is easy and straightforward and this 1500VA/1000W unit provides stable, reliable power. The tower-like configuration means it takes up less floor or desk space, which we like. It does come with very nice instructions should anyone need them. There are six outlets on the back for surge protection only and six for surge with battery power, plus and additional outlet on the front for a total of thirteen; which should be more than enough to connect all of our devices. There are also two USB-C ports on the front for phone charging, which is nice to have. The battery is supposed to last for three years, so we'll see how that goes in storm-prone Florida. The only thing we don’t like is the LED light show on the front. We’re not gamers and we don’t need it to show off the unit or have it ‘entertain' us, so we turned them off. This isn’t a complaint or deal-breaker, just a matter of personal taste that was easily resolved. For $299.99 you can’t go wrong with a UPS from a trusted brand, so we recommend this to anyone with expensive equipment the need to protect. ... show more

  • A UPS you don't have to hide?
If you've spent a lot of money on your computer setup, protecting it with a high quality UPS / surge protector is a no brainer. But they're so often just plain (and ugly) bricks that you need to hide away. Until THIS unit from Cyberpower, that is. This GX150C2-E "Gaming" UPS is the first UPS I've seen that is really designed to be shown off. You get a status LCD (which is pretty normal) but also customizable RGB lights on the front that can be changed in the onscreen setup to match your overall gamer aesthetic. And you get an extra plug on the front (in addition to the 12 on the back) and two USB-C ports (30W total output, so really meant for a phone, tablet or perhaps gaming peripherals) as well so there's an incentive to put this where it can be both seen and accessed easily. Those touches aside, this is a strong 1500VA/1000W UPS that can be easily paired up with a gaming PC to provide reliable power, which it does easily and quietly. And I'd expect nothing less from CyberPower, given that they've been in the UPS production field for many years at this point and are trusted throughout the industry. The UPS quickly picks up the load when the AC power drops and your expensive equipment is protected from both outages AND the more danger "brown" outs where the power stays on but voltage drops significantly (like lights can sometimes dim when the AC comes on in some houses - this is very dangerous for sensitive electronics). In my testing, the unit performed equal to or better than my non-gamer CyberPower units, just as I expected. So if you could use a solid UPS with a gamer aesthetic and some nice/handy front ports, this could be just what you're looking for. Give it a try today! ... show more

  • Great UPS, lighting fits the “gaming” style my kid wants
These have been fantastic so far. The lighting effects are a really neat touch and add a lot to the overall look of the setup, especially on a gaming PC. My kid absolutely loves them. The biggest compliment I can give is that it worked perfectly when it actually mattered. We recently had several storms roll through with power issues and fluctuations, and this handled everything without a problem. The gaming computer stayed protected and stable the entire time vs having the old slightly underpowered UPS screaming at us during power blips. This one fits well on his desk, has FAR more outlets than we need, and has a large enough battery to last through extended outages (we saw about 15 minutes). Setup was straightforward, everything feels well built, and it performs exactly the way you’d hope a product like this would. It’s easy to get distracted by the cool lighting features, but underneath that it’s a genuinely reliable piece of equipment for a great price. Overall, a great combination of functionality and style: fun for a gaming setup, but also dependable when conditions get rough. ... show more
