  • Good
Size: 550VA Style: UPS
Bought this 2/1/2021 when the power has gone out with just my son’s breathing machine lasted about 20 minutes. Well today the battery finally went out. So it lasted 3 years not sure if that’s good but seems fine for the price I suppose

  • Works well
Size: 550VA Style: UPS
So far when the electric goes off and comes on it never changes the satellite. The satellite will continue to operate on the batteries which gives it an even power source. It's also got plugs for a surge protector if you don't want to run it through the batteries. For the price I can't see anything wrong with it. It was within my budget. ... show more

  • Cost effective little unit to protect expensive low-power equipment
Size: 350VA Style: UPS
This is a small 6-outlet surge protector with battery backup. Only half of the outlets count with battery backup; for my application, this is enough since my main interest when I purchased the unit was to protect my PS4 from sudden blackouts while on standby mode, and to provide a little backup time for my WiFi router. I was looking for a low-cost UPS which meant getting a low-spec unit but since I have no intention of using it for a cloud server or something similar, I think the specs are more than adequate. I had the chance to test this unit in real life today when, after returning from a drive to the museum with my family, we discovered that there was a blackout while we were out. I immediately went to the family room where I have the new UPS with the PS4 and my XFinity router connected. I immediately noticed the PS4 was still in standby mode instead of totally turned off. This was, for me, enough evidence the unit did its job. The unit is fan-cooled (at least I think I heard a fan running) so give the unit plenty of space to breathe. Pros: Small, convenient, true sine wave output, good value for the money. Cons: Only three outlets are battery backed; the rest only include surge protection. Conclusion: It's not a powerful unit but it does the job, at a great price. ... show more

  • Good Basic UPS
Size: 550VA Style: UPS
This is perfect for my needs. It has enough battery backup time for me to save my work and shut down my computer if there's a power outage, and it bridges the gap nicely when the power just blinks off and on. You can connect it to your computer with a USB cable and monitor your UPS or change settings using the free software. All in all a good value. ... show more

  • Wrecked my equipment more than a regular powerstrip, customer service was terrible.
Size: 550VA Style: UPS
Recently I bought this to protect my new rig I bought. I usually just use a regular power strip, but I was afraid of blowing up my new fancy computer. One day I was in my house, doing my regular thing when the power went out. It started doing the loud beeping thing (which by the way, it didn't even keep my computer on like it was supposed to, for even a second) and then I just kinda sat there. I smelt burning, and I was really scared. When the power came back, my computer turned on fine, monitors alright. I was relieved. But instead, it turns out it blew something in my subwoofer because now it didn't work at all (after extensive testing, it is definitely the subwoofer, not anything else, audio jacks, etc.) It wasn't even a lightning storm, or anything. I've had power outages all the time. So I got kind of angry that it just kind of decided to blow up the circuits in my sub for basically no reason. I set up a warranty thing with Cyberpower. I sent them an e-mail and they decided to tell me to just call them soon. I did all of this within the required 10 day period. I called them, asking about my warranty. The woman on the phone just says "what? WHAT?!!?" as if she were losing service, but she was really angry. I called back after she hung up within 5 seconds of me calling her. It went straight to voicemail after a ring or two. I called her one more time, instead from a different place thinking it was service issues (which I don't usually have, but considered her location) and once again, straight to voicemail. No followup from them, nothing. Now I have to use a separate powerstrip AND this UPS, because for some reason the battery on the UPS (that didn't even support my computer) is already near dead, and I can't plug in more than a few things into it. It has shut off my computer due to excessive power usage more than 3 times, which is more than the amount of times it's saved me from a power outage (0 times). I just ended up getting new speakers from a friend because after being shunned that day, it was beyond the 10-day period, AND I just wasn't having it. Next time I'm going to try to buy from a better company. Considering recently I purchased a router from a company (MediaBridge to be specific), e-mailed them with a question about the router messing up rarely, and they sent me a BRAND NEW ONE NO QUESTIONS ASKED, I can see the difference in customer service that CyberPower was really lacking. I saw warnings on the internet, and as a poor college student I should have taken that into more account. ... show more
