  • Pocket-Able
I sought this out for use at the indoor range. In the low light a target at 25 yards is too far to see the hits from anything except big slugs. This replaces a bulky, heavy binocular with a pocket-able device. There is no way I would not be happy about it. There is already a total pile of stuff going to the range at least two bags one long gins and one everything else. The main problem with all devices using lenses is covering them. The binoculars long ago lost the standard style caps that fall off when brushed by a shirt sleeve. Though these caps are acceptable only one is integral to the device the other is a slip over cap of common design not only will it stretch out with use it was already getting loose on the first day. I ended up tying it on. Eventually I will be forced to buy a replacement cap for the stretch fit side based on my hand measurement of the diameter. ... show more

  • Easy to adjust, easy to carry, but lens cap is not good
This is a nifty little monocular. It clips on to your belt, and the clip itself is sturdy. It has an adjustable eyepiece separate from the diopter adjustment, so you can press it against your eye or your glasses instead of hunting for the eye relief sweet spot every time. The only thing of poor quality are the lens cap protectors, which are the floppiest silicone with the worst finish. Not a huge deal, but annoying because everything else is so good. The front lens cap is good enough, if rough. The rear one is a pain to retain when you uncap it. I have it connected to the strap, but it's still fiddly. The most important part, for a monocular, are the lenses. They are very clear and transmit a lot of light. The exit pupil is pretty forgiving as well. Because the diopter adjustment is separate from the eyepiece (it's a ring past it), it's very easy to switch to the correct focus on the fly. Totally worth it, in my opinion. ... show more

  • Not Terrible, But Underwhelming — Better Options Exist
It feels light, and with an optic this small, extra weight equates to more stability especially if you aren't braced against anything when you are holding it. As another reviewer has mentioned it appears the "focus" ring has no effect on image sharpness when rotated. Even with less expensive optics it's still a good idea to keep the lens surface on both ends covered and protected. The rubber cap on the end you look through has an opening so something like strong thread or 2mm paracord can be threaded through to the cap won't get lost. The cap on the front end is held on by a flimsy rubber ring that slips off too easily and provides little protection from getting lost. If I were going to keep using this optic I'd invest in better caps. The front is approximately 42mm and the back is approximately 35mm if you go shopping for caps. The belt clip is a good feature but I'd want to make sure I had tight fitting caps or it would be easy to brush against something and end up loosing a cap or caps. Whether it's binoculars, riflescopes, or a monocular like this I have always believed it is worthwhile to invest more to get good build quality and better performance. I think this optic is slightly over priced for what you get. This might be suitable as an entry-level optic or even something for a child to explore with, but I wouldn’t rely on it for serious use. ... show more

  • Good value monocular
I’ve used many CVLife products in the past, primarily their pistol red dots, and I’ve always appreciated how CVLife goes above and beyond with extras and packaging that even some premium brands overlook. However, the CVLife 8x32 Monocular Telescope felt a bit different from what I’m used to with them. It comes in a standard box with a simple storage bag — a hard case would have been a nice addition here. The included lens covers don’t stay on very well, which is a bit disappointing. The monocular itself feels a little light, but it works well enough for casual use. I have an astigmatism in one eye, so a monocular works better for me than binoculars, and the 8x32 zoom does the job for getting a closer look at whatever you’re trying to see — though it’s nothing mind-blowing. Overall, I’d say this is a good value option for casual or occasional use. If you’re looking for something more professional-grade or heavy-duty, you may want to consider other options. ... show more

  • Works great
This scope works great. It’s easy to use and hold, has simple effective focusing, and the ability to lower and raise the eyepiece easily when switching off between someone with and without glasses is very useful. My only minor complaint is that the lens cover is awkwardly designed. It attaches to the end of the monocular with a semi-sturdy rubbery ring that doesn’t seem to have a precise placement. As such, it easily falls off and you definitely have to be careful about it when using the belt clip - see photos. Not a big enough issue in my opinion to lower the rating, but perhaps if these are read they may improve on the design in the future. ... show more

  • Great little monocular!!
Excellent little scope. It fits the hand well, glass is clear. Easy to adjust to your eye. Comes with cleaning cloth, case and lanyard plus covers for both ends. Can't beat the price of it. Small enough to fit in pocket or backpack. Works well for farm animals and wildlife. Have several different things from cvlife and not one has let me down yet. Originally was nervous as it wasn't a brand I knew and price worried me. Glad I have given them a chance. Good quality but also not super worried if it gets wrecked in the field. ... show more
