I bought this alone with two other knives with the aim of cutting up a thick piece of roast beef that my ordinary kitchen knife couldn't handle. It's been one of the best kitchen purchases I've made to date - the boning knife is great when I have to disjoint a whole chicken, and the brisket knife practically laughs through thick cuts of meat. I find them very easy to use and handle even though I am not a professional butcher or a chef. Very sharp, so watch your fingers, and worth every cent.

I was pleasantly surprised with these knives. While I have very good knife sets from German and Japanese manufacturers which are quite good, I do a lot of barbecue and meat smoking and wanted to get knives dedicated to this. The quality was above my expectations. I like the heft and balance and they are quite sharp. I can’t say how well they hold their edge as I haven’t had them that long, but they’re off to a good start. To me, the price was a bargain.
