Arrived dull (Chinese craftsmanship). Feel and balance are good. Handle is small for my hands. Edge retention is not good for a knife this price. I expected better for the $. It sharpens fast and easy. A little stiff for a boning knife. I was looking for a knife with good edge retention for processing big game animals, I’m still looking. It’s a sharp knife out of the box, trimmed a 12 lbs brisket without any sharpening or honing during the trimming. I used it so far once but the edge holds well in my limited experience.
