I've always been interested in a weighted blanket but never wanted to pay the cost without actually having proof of the results. This product popped up in my daily ads one day and I figured at this price point, what did I have to lose. I've recently had surgery and was suffering from not being able to get restful sleep due to the recovery and subsequent discomfort. First night under this blanket, I will admit, I woke up sore and a bit annoyed. I then realized that my body was pushing against the blanket when I turned and shifted.....almost like a workout. The second night, I had challenges with pain and didn't get to sleep until almost 3am. I was able to get a solid 4hrs of sleep underneath the blanket and woke up absolutely refreshed and recharged. I can't even explain how good I felt. My husband echoed my sentiments when he tried it out (we work/sleep on opposite schedules). Ideally, I try to get 7-8hrs of sleep a night but if I fall short, it's almost like I don't even realize it because I just wake up feeling great. I'm no longer waking up throughout the night. The compression is just enough to where you feel it and it's like a firm hug but it's not overwhelming. The material is breathable and not too hot. There was one day I had to kick it off (but it was well into the morning) and that was only because my NEST thermostat had kicked over into a program that left me overly warm and uncomfortable. Not the blanket's fault. This has proven to be more then worth the money. I've bought both my brothers and both my kids their own. My 13yr old who previously suffered from insomnia is now sleeping through the night. My 16yr old who was recovering from spinal fusion surgery, has finally found a pill-free way to get and stay asleep without discomfort. Overall, a great purchase and a great value. I would highly recommend.

Having read other reviews, good and bad, before purchasing this weighted blanket. I want to respond to some of the unfounded, and often ridiculous, criticism: 1. It’s too small for my bed. This blanket is just that: a blanket! It’s not a comforter, duvet, or bedspread. It’s a blanket. It’s supposed to fit within the corners of the top of your mattress, not drape down the sides or foot of your bed. I bought the Queen bed size blanket. It fits the top of my Queen sized mattress perfectly. 2. It’s too hot. Again, it’s a blanket. It is used for retaining body warmth. It’s supposed to keep you warm. I have little sympathy for people who complain that it is too hot. Don’t you know what a blanket is? It’s cold where I live (at the moment it’s -20 degrees below zero at 10pm. Two days ago it was -40 degrees below zero!) I wanted this blanket for warmth, as well as weight. I typically only need my AC on for about four weeks in the summer. And I like to sleep in a cold bedroom. keep my room at 55 degrees year round. This blanket provides ideal warmth. 3 The weight is uneven. The weight of this blanket is perfectly even. It is a quilted blanket, and each quilted section holds in place the layer of glass bead webbing which gives the blanket is mailable weight. This blanket is ideal. The outer fabric is soft. It’s the perfect amount of heavy. I was worried that the 20 lbs model I got was not going to be heavy enough, but it is just right. And it’s warm and comfortable. I’m completely satisfied with it. I highly recommend it.
