I have many curco knives my cousin being a sales rep years ago. They are poor knives, easy to bend the blades; I've broken 2 of the paring knives which rust at the bolts in the handle and snap. The company did replace them free of charge. Next to a wusthof - also not the best knife in the world, the cutco handle is unrefined and flimsy with second rate steel. I'm afraid it's a questionable company motivated by profit and advertising, with little invested in product development. ... show more

These are very expensive but you will never need to own another knife set. I just bought a second set due to divorce. They are extremely sharp as knife should be. Been owner for over four years.

Quality knives although larger knives are quite heavy. I have a huge set with white handles and 8 table knives. Set could have been better designed without two forks, one slicer and minus the spatula knife. Also 6 table knives would be better for family of 5 or less. I negotiated the price down in home but I think the price point for the set I described should be less than $1000. ... show more

I no longer have my Cutco Knives. Not totally sure where they went MIA? But! Many moons ago freshman in college & my 1st job was selling Cutco knives. I loved them. Used to cut through rubber, ropes, leather, etc... as a selling technique. They do seriously cut beautifully. My Aunt bought 1 knife just to “support” me selling items & only making commission from each sell. That was like 18years ago. She’s bought sets for wedding gifts & holiday gifts. Just had her own set sharpened recently & was mad b/c it’s to sharp now. Only thing that’s difficult to use is the paring knife; just a matter of holding the knife differently; still will do great paring! But, again I understand they are expensive, but it really should be viewed as an investment, not just as an expense. So, if on the fence, GO FOR IT! The LAST set you’ll buy!! I came a crossed ppl that still had their parents set after they passed & still cut. Some just needed to be sharpened. ... show more
