When frying fish (in the garage and not in the kitchen for obvious reasons), the temp control heats about the same as the kitchen stove top range. So, no need to re-learn cooking temp settings on this unit. Very pleased. I am waiting for a stove replacement. I bought the single burner, and it is perfect for my purposes. Instead of microwaving hot water for my instant coffee or tea, I can use my tea kettle again. I haven’t yet used it for anything else.     • Cusimax 1500W hot plate is decent
Takes a while for the expected “smoke” to burn off. Takes longer to cool vs our old 1200W hot plate. If you’re using this to make popcorn, this plate may be too hot. Weight is heavier than our previous plate, this item being made of cast iron. Boils water great. 7-setting temp control good.

We used this to boil water. The pot is 8" across the bottom and 10" inches high. Water boiled with the lid on. Once it came to a boil we left the lid off it no longer had bubbles but the water was plenty hot enough to do the job.
