When frying fish (in the garage and not in the kitchen for obvious reasons), the temp control heats about the same as the kitchen stove top range. So, no need to re-learn cooking temp settings on this unit. Very pleased. I am waiting for a stove replacement. I bought the single burner, and it is perfect for my purposes. Instead of microwaving hot water for my instant coffee or tea, I can use my tea kettle again. I haven’t yet used it for anything else.
