Just go my Bronco back after an accident (not my fault) back in February, yes February… body shop and dealership didn’t have anyone to rework wiring and install my aftermarket replacement mods. Long story short, I was done wiring and just thought I’d take her for a spin to the local mud hole to test all the systems out… was met with 3 yes 3 stuck vehicles… gotta help right, pulled a ram pick up back off a high centered ledge, a Chevy canyon (which I’m not sure why they were there, but stuck nonetheless) , and a Chevy 1500 out… all stuck with really no chance of self recovery. So I would say this winch works very well considering it was wired and 6 hours later assisted in 3 recoveries. ... show more

Awesome winch plenty powerful, not as noisy as the older style winches, handy remote wireless or wired combo, nice long cables, but the cables are not pure copper, they are copper cladded aluminum, so far they haven’t heated up but I haven’t stressed tested them that hard, for the price you really can’t complain, I would upgrade the power cables to pure copper if you intend to really push it, I’ll eventually end up replacing the wires at some point ... show more

Got this as a Christmas gift from the kids for the truck. Finally got some warm weather and started to do the install. Item had lots of wear marks like it was installed before and returned. The control box even had damage to the cover, heat shrink and there is a rattle inside it. UPDATE Jul-2023: During the installation, the power post busted off from the winch. Contacted seller and they sent me a new power post which required me to tear down the motor to the windings. Got everything put back together and was able to extend and retract the rope. UPDATE Dec-2023: First real use! Had to go save a friend in a Jeep who thought they were invincible. When I get there, I put the clutch into neutral and roll out the rope. Get all rigged up and re-engage the clutch on the winch and nothing. Confirmed the clutch was in the right position (nope, can't pull out any more rope), and tried both in and out. Lots of noise but no movement. But now I have to wind the rope back in by hand before I can get out the trusty recovery strap. Winch completely failed when it was needed most. ... show more

I got degree in auto mechanics 40 years ago but never had or installed a winch. Well this thing is great, easy to install and has great options. (Wireless magnetic remote). AWESOME If your thinking about just order it already you won’t regret it at all. You’ll love it like I do.

This winch is great looking, but that's about where the goodness ends. I waited too long to install it...the return window expired. When I finally got it installed, it would only spool out... but wouldn't pull in. This left me with a big wad if cable hanging out, and I had to coil it up and ty-wrap it off to my grill guard so that I could drive. It didn't matter whether the cordless or corded remote was used. I tested electrical functionalty for quite a while., I was finally able to get the "spool in" function to work, but only by jumpering across the relay. Additionally, retract only works when the engagement handle is in the "Disengaged" position. This thing is a disaster. ... show more
