  • Exactly as advertised, gets the job done
The product was exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price. Felt sturdy and well-made. Install was a challenge due to the age and condition of the vehicle, but the installation instructions and hardware were clear and straightforward.

  • Instructions were very clear and really easy to follow
Packaged very well from Curt with expandable foam packing bricks. Instructions were very clear and really easy to follow. Installed it by myself in about 20 minutes or so. I used two jack stands to hold it around where it was supposed to be and then installed the hanger bolts first and did not tighten them down. This is important because you want a little bit of wiggle room to install the longer bolts that go into the bumper bracket. Once the long bolts are in and tightened down, I tightened the shorter bolts that were installed in the hangers. Everything lined up perfectly even though I thought it was going to be skewed to one side. This is my second curt hitch (the other is on my 2002 Volvo XC70) and so far they are fantastic and very easy to install. ... show more

  • Where's the quality control?
One of the welds was too thick, causing one of the toothed washers to be unable to sit flat against the hitch. I had to cut a piece of the washer to create a flat end so it could sit against the hitch rather than getting stuck on the weld. They clearly didn't check if the hardware was going to fit properly after welding. The packaging was not good. One end of the hitch was sticking out of a hole in the box upon arrival. There were some pieces of expanding foam haphazardly placed in the box. Luckily the hardware was wrapped and taped in place or else it would've all spilled out of the box in transit. Otherwise it seems like a nice hitch. ... show more

  • Custom fit is worth it
This doesn't seem as heavy duty as past curt hitches we've owned. The install bolts were also very hard to tighten up into the pre-existing threaded holes in the frame of our vehicle - but the bolt quality was good enough to withstand the torque needed. Hitch is tight, snug, and custom-fit with no drilling or laborious modification. Love that! ... show more
