I wish this was a mist or spray. Unfortuately, the nozzle only allows oil to dispense in one straight line, making it impossible to coat multiple sections of the head at a time. Be careful ---the stream of oil is messy when it shoots out, leaving a big messy splatter of oil on just one small section of your hair. Some of the oil just rolls down your scalp or off your hair, and some of it even misses altogether and you lose some of the product on your shirt or elsewhere; so be careful with this. To eliminate frizz, I don't always like to touch my hair once my style is set, but the only way to apply this oil ( since it comes out in one long stream) is to apply it to your hands and then smooth the oil or scrunch it into your hair. This, to me, defeats the purpose of a "finishing" oil and one that especially has a pump and nozzle that looks like a spray. The upside to this product is that it has plenty of natural ingredients without any of the bad stuff. The proteins in it did seem to strengthen and protect. This oil product also gave a bit of a shine and hold, and it was lightweight. However, there was just a bit of a tacky feel whenever I touched my hair then rubbed my fingers together. Also, it was not at all extremely moisturizing, especially when applied to dry hair as opposed to when applied to wet or damp hair; but it smells amazingly pleasant which is one of the best things I like about this oil. It is a lovely oil with protein in it and it comes in a lovely glass bottle. Sadly, I want to like this product a whole lot more because it is made by a great company that has a great line of natural curly hair products; but it is a bit pricey, and only if this product came as a mist or spray would I ever consider getting it again. ... show more

I started diffusing my hair recently, and I use a small amount of this after I dry my hair. To separate my curls, take down the frizz, and help maintain day two styles. As well as scrunching out the gel cast. I really love curl Smith. And this oil is no different. It's really light weight and doesn't weigh down my curls. I do have thick Curly hair though. My hair is fine but REALLY thick, and my curls need a lot of moisture. I really love this product! ... show more

    • Bottle leaked out product. Bad product packaging (but five stars for the product shine)
Seems like the product works well on 1st day. But my issue is with the packaging. When oil arrived the box was soaked with oil and the cap was not fully turned closed, so some of the oil leaked out. This is very frustrating to lose any of the oil due to a loose cap. ESP when you are paying over $30 dollars for it. ... show more

I'm really liking this hair oil. It's very light and just two drops rubbed between my hands is sufficient to distribute on my thick, long hair. It doesn't leave my hair looking or feeling greasy. It adds a nice subtle fragrance and sheen.
