Instead of shelling out for yet another set of lesser quality pots, I opted to save for what I wanted. The set arrived in a massive box that I'm grateful I didn't have to lug to my front door, kudos to the delivery person. Each item was individually packed. Even though the pots are pre-seasoned, I gave mine a good wash and seasoned them again. The seasoning is important, like. a wok, if you don't it will rust. They are so lovely to cook with. Medium to medium high heat is all that's required as cast iron is a great heat conductor. One of the major advantages is that you no longer have to worry about the utensils you use, I scrap away with a metal spoon and not fear any damage. Easy to clean and then oil Looks super pretty on my stove. I love them. I know with good care they'll last a life time therefore absolutely worth the money. ... show more

I bought this as a Valentine's Day gift for my husband (he does most of the cooking) and these turned out better than expected. I actually enjoy cleaning them - I use the boiling water and scrape method for the stuck-on stuff - but you can just use a scrub brush, soak and dish soap like a normal pan. I oil them lightly after use and place them back on the rack. They are very well-made cast iron pans - heavy workhorses! It is good to note that I am storing them vertically on that rack instead of horizontally (as shown) for space issues in my kitchen. I have to place the pan and the lid (with the knob turned towards the inside of the pan) in order to store them properly. Also, even though you can use the silicone handle in the oven - it will be hot...so it is best to remove the silicone handle cover before placing it in the oven. But it is perfect for the stovetop! We will have these for many many years - totally worth the money! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Read my review because I’m going to touch on a series of things that people considering these cast iron pans should know. 1. They weigh A LOT (of course it’s cast iron) be prepared…each pan comes in its own separate box inside of a big box. It’s a lot to unbox 2. I like that each pan came with instructions on usage and cleaning to dos and don’ts 3. I was upset because the lid to one of my pans were damaged. Unsure if it was a delivery issue or a manufacturer one. What upset me is they wanted me to return the entire set just to fix the damaged lid issue. 4. Your first cook, PLEASE heat the pan up first and cook with canola or vegetable oil. They instruct to use butter but it made the pans stick. I knew better but still followed the butter instructions smh 5. Overall, the cool really well and I ABSOLUTELY love the scraper and heat safety handles that come with this set! The scraper was clutch for getting grits off, and hard to get off food. ... show more

Heavy duty work great . The pizza pan is the kids favorite. The rubber handles throw them away they suck. You can't put all the pans on the rack.
