This is the second waffle maker I've tried, and it works significantly better than my old one. There are just so many features I like about this waffle maker: - Small footprint makes it easier to storage in my kitchen, where cabinet space is limited. - It beeps to let you know when you waffle is done (based on your preferred darkness-setting, 1-5), so you won't under or over cook it. This was a BIG improvement from my prior waffle maker, where I'd regularly undercook waffles. - Easy to use - you just dump your waffle mixture into the top of the machine and... that's it! - It gives you a PERFECT exterior. I use the "3" setting, and I got a nice light brown, slightly crispy exterior. YUM! Additionally, clean up was pretty easy, although I do wish I could give it a quick rinse in the sink (the instructions say to wipe down with a cloth instead). As a bonus, I liked the recipes I tried from the included booklet. Yesterday we made the lemon poppy seed waffles and they were a big hit with my kids! ... show more

It's really an excellent unit. I've made about 10 waffles so far. The portion cup is very clever. I have used several different kinds of makers and this takes the cake (or waffle?). The vertical style means no mess, even if you pour too much, there is a funnel feature at the top that just cooks off the overflow batter if you have any. It's non-stick so I have not needed to prep or spray the unit before cooking, just pour the batter in and it comes out easy every time. If left on, it will occassionally beep, which is great for someone like me doing ten things around the kitchen. Light enough to move around the kitchen, yet very sturdy.     • I like this - but you have to figure out what works for you

We purchased this and use it fairly often. I really like that its footprint is vertical, making it easier to store in my kitchen. I have some suggestions on user operation and making the most out of it: First off, spray it before each use. This makes clean up much easier. Second, sit it on a towl or cutting board, as the spray will eventually leak out the bottom. Not a lot, but just a little. We have never had batter leak out of the bottom. Next, it has a pour section at the top, which might work for very runny mixtures. However, for almost all waffle mixtures we have tried, we have actually found it easier to pour the entire amount of batter while it is open on the lower part near the top to the center, and let it set for a few seconds, and then close it letting gravity take the rest down. This has produced the most perfect shape. Just pouring an amount in the top sometimes caused a backup if it set too quickly and we wouldn't know if it was enough batter.     • Great waffle maker with a good space saving design

*Disclaimer* I have only used this waffle maker once since I purchased it. However, when shopping for a space saving waffle maker that didn't compromise on fluffy Belgium waffles, and was a brand I trust, I decided to give this a try. First, it is simple as hell to operate, just plug in and turn on and adjust the temp nob for desired "doneness". Easy peasy. Second, fill the waffle maker using the provided scoop. This was a bit more trial and error as there is no real markings on the scoop to show max or min amount to pour. Once I figured out to get the perfect roundness one wants from their waffle, I used a full to the top scoop per waffle. Third, ease of removal. This was surprisingly super easy. The angle of the bottom plate made it easy to get under the waffle and remove it. Lastly, clean up wasn't so much easy as it is a bit of a technique curve. I'm saying this because the bottome plate opens but doesn't lay flat due to the lack of weight on this portion. This is a no nrainer as they wouldn't want a hkt waffle maker flipping over on someone everytime its opened. With that in mind I would suggest using a kitchen grade "paint brush" to swipe away left over crumbs and debris from a cooled waffle maker. There were no seen leaks nor did I experience a eaffle that wasn't cooked right. My waffles turned out fluffy and perfect every time I made a waffle. I would reccomend with the caveat it's a bit hard to clean if that matters. Otherwise it's some of the best waffles I've had at home. ... show more

Purchased this for homemade waffles. Comes with a recipe book so that was handy. I,like the fact the machine let's you know when it is hot enough to add the batter and also when the waffle is finished. It beeps each time..so there is no guessing. It only makes one waffle at a time but they are nice sized. It lets you decide on how Brown you want the waffle. I set it on 4 for a more golden color, crisper yet still flaky inside. It comes with a measure scoop so you know how much batter to add, but depending on the ingredients added it's a learning curve, yet easy. Cleanup is a breeze as the batter doesn't stick since you use oil in the batter...haven't tried it using butter only in the batter. Recommend it. Can have waffles home anytime fresh, cheaper and convenient. ... show more

Love this waffle maker because the vertical design makes it easy to store. I like that it has a doneness dial to cook the waffle different ways, based on personal preference. Easy to use, clean and measuring cup is helpful. Would purchase again and recommend to others
