    • No water indicator for pod side. Can be frustrating
This is a good product. The only problem is with the pod side. You can’t tell how much water is in the well and many times have overflowed or you can’t tell when it’s low and it just doesn’t work. Recently had company and it became frustrating at times. Other wise it’s a good coffee pot.

In just under 5 months, this $109 coffee maker has developed "sometimers." Some times it works, some times it doesn't. From the very beginning, some of the lights on front worked incorrectly, with all of them lighting up, other times, just the carafe brew and on/off switch lit up. Last week it had no power at all to the buttons and the clock was still working but the time on it was off, despite us not having a power outage of any kind. I just got off the phone with Cuisinart customer service. What a joke! While I was on the phone I was asked to try to brew a cup of coffee, which it did.....this time. She said if it stopped working again to call the number back that I had just called. When I persisted as to what the remedy will be for this sometimes functioning appliance, she said to just call back. I said I am calling now after trying to get it to work consistently and it was not; which is why I was calling now. Then I was asked for the serial number, which was supposed to be on the bottom (it wasn't) but how exactly was I to turn the coffee maker upside down when it has water in it and is still completing the brewing of a cup of coffee. So I asked her to wait a moment while I emptied out the coffee I had just made and the water so I could turn the darned thing upside-down. I my phone on speaker and placed it on the counter, at which point the call suddenly dropped. ... show more

Had the Keurig® K-Duo Plus for about 3 years and it went out on me. Always disappointed that the Keurig did fill the mug and the coffee was always cooler than I like. So, decided to switch over to this Cuisinart and I absolutely am thrilled with it. Read some of the negative reviews and seemed like instructions weren't read a lot of the times. It works like a champ, both the carafe side and the single serve side. I actually love that they have separate reservoirs too. The coffee comes out hot the way I like it and dispenses the proper amount. Hoping this lasts, but about a month in of daily use and I'm thrilled so far. ... show more

This makes good coffee, and it's a nice looking coffee maker but the pot doesn't line up well with the bottom of the coffee filter baskets spring and ball assembly. The ball does not press up and that prevents the water from dripping out of the filter and into the coffee pot and therefore the filter basket overflows and makes a huge mess. This shows up really well in my attached pics. SO ... now when I set up the coffee maker I have to make sure that the pot is in the precisely correct position so that it is pressing that little ball up so the water can drip out of the filter and into the pot. This is inconvenient, but I will deal with it rather than send it back mainly because I put the box out for the recycle and just don't want the hassle of sending it back. Final thought on leaving this review is .... I wish I would have chosen a different coffee maker. ... show more

I purchased as a replacement for another Cuisinart coffee maker that also dispensed hot water for tea. The newer version of what I had was much bigger and that was a draw back for me. I find that this machine will do the same function but through the single serving side! I just do not use the k-cup!! Actually a better choice as if I choose to use it as a single serving, that is a possibility also. Seems to work perfectly! ... show more
