I'm happy that the price that I paid for refurbished seems to be the price I paid for something that looks new. I dropped a star because it is really difficult to pour out of the carafe you have to hold it nearly vertically because there seems to be some sort of internal lip and because coffee is just not that hot. We’ve had Cuisinart coffee makers for several years now. This was the second refurbished one we have purchased, and while we love the coffee maker, we were disappointed that the filter was missing; beyond that I would recommend this coffee maker.

I like that this has a thermal carafe and that my coffee stays hot for a long time. I don't like that it is hard to pour all of the coffee out of the thermos and that it is impossible to clean. I also don't like that the tank doesn't come off to fill so you have to use a jug or cup to fill your water. I'm already looking to replace this machine. ... show more

If I listened to the reviews I probably would not have purchased this. I had this same exact coffee maker for 10 years and never gave it a second thought when I wanted a new one. There have been 2 wonderful upgrades--a larger spout for faster delivery and a brighter measure of water. If you like to douse your coffee with creamer and need it to be so hot so the creamer does not cool it, this is not the maker for you. I love my coffee black and this brings it to the right temperature so it does not have that burnt taste like most others. It allows you to taste the coffee. AND, it keeps it that way for hours. It shuts off automatically so you do not need to ever think about that. My husband and I share a whole pot every day. This is a quality product and IMO customers who think otherwise do not understand what it takes to make quality coffee. I really hope this product is around in 10 years when I will need another one. ... show more

The metal canister has no liquid marking so you don't know how much coffee is being made. There is no permanent filter It doesn't keep coffee warm since it turns off when coffee is brewed. Poor investment.
